CKD needs to do whatever it takes to sign this kid. Don’t need projects, need kids who can play immediately (not necessarily start but are ready to go from Day One).

Gorney's Take: Keelon Russell might be a carbon copy of Jayden Daniels and his performance at the Under Armour All-America Game week was outstanding, as was his senior season. So in the end, it was nearly impossible to keep Russell off the No. 1 line.

The Duncanville, Texas, quarterback has the entire makeup of a future No. 1 pick with a dynamic arm, great decision-making, impeccable touch on all levels of passes and an attitude where he’s going to go to Alabama to learn and work hard.

Coach Kalen DeBoer groomed Michael Penix Jr. into a first-round pick and the Crimson Tide should surround Russell with elite receivers. Everything has come into place for him to be dominant in Tuscaloosa.

Love that the rant narrative went from "Lol Bama now resorting to getting QB's from SMU" to Russel potentially being the best QB recruit in his class.

Anyone with a brain who watched highlights of him knew how severely underrated he was as a recruit, and that his SMU commitment meant absolutely nothing.

That leaves out almost all of the SEC rant and all of the Tiger rant

Didn't see it posted, but '27 AL RB Ezavier Crowell has now reclassified to the 2026 class.

Honestly, under the Saban recruiting machine, I would say that guy looks like an absolute Brockermeyer brothers future bust. Gonna give CKD the benefit of the doubt though. Hopefully the guy is a competitor.

Obviously they struggle with how to rank a reclass.

From #1 RB, #7 overall to those new numbers?

Obviously the 2026 class isn't that much better than 2027.

Why do you think that? I know nothing about this kid.

Elijah Haven high school QB at Dunham is the first high school player in Louisiana to sign an NIL deal. No word on details of deal. Just announced in New Orleans radio.
