Yep, doesn't make sense to stack 5* QBs when they command so much money and can transfer after a season.
Has to be a strategic plan where we just get a decent QB that isn't expensive for 2026 and then for 2027 we then go for a 5* expensive one or a transfer portal if the ones we already have don't work out.

Not sure why this is downvoted. CFB resource allocation is basically no different than the NFL right now and only criminally mismanaged organizations like the Falcons do shite like using a 1st round pick on a QB a couple of months after signing one to $100 million in guaranteed salary. You have to stagger the big investments in a position where only one guy can play at a time.

Exactly. And recruiting in-state doesn't matter AT ALL. It used to be a reason why a kid would commit - to be closer to home, so it was good to dominate in-state.

Benjamin Franklin and his green-hued friends are the best recruiters now. Good coaching is what is the premium now. I think the day of coach best friend, coach second dad, or coach dad i never had is numbered. If you can't develop talent, your arse is getting processed.
