saw where Texas offered him the other day. Sark has been a real pain in our arse on the WR front
Well DeBoer offense certainly doesn’t lend itself to any Texas advantages as far as WR production and targets. This offense will be wide open.

I wonder if Williams will make an appearance on campus this weekend. He seems to be recruiting Ffrench hard.

Rivals recruiting buzz: Ten most intriguing visits this weekend
quote:
Zion Grady - Georgia
Auburn, Georgia and LSU are considered the three new front-runners for Grady, who backed off his short Alabama pledge when the new coaching staff came in but the Crimson Tide cannot be counted out yet, either.
The Bulldogs get a shot with the top-rated weak-side defensive end this weekend and while a commitment is not expected, stability can be shown and the groundwork for a pledge could be laid even more.

Anthony Rogers - Alabama
In early June, Rogers picked Alabama over Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Oregon and others but since that time so much has changed in Tuscaloosa. This will be an important weekend for “Turbo” to spend more time with the new coaching staff and get a feel for the new offense.
If the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star speedster comes out of the visit looking at others or taking visits, that could be a worrisome sign. If not, then Rogers should be a major weapon for the Tide.
He's originally from Pike Road so he may have grown up rooting for Alabama. Could help in hanging on to him.

Mal Waldrep
Alabama now has a major fight on its hands for the four-star offensive tackle who is a double legacy in Tuscaloosa. The Phenix City (Ala.) Central standout has had the Crimson Tide and Auburn on his list from the beginning but Waldrep had an absolutely phenomenal – perhaps game-changing – visit to Clemson last weekend.
This will be coach Kalen DeBoer’s first extensive opportunity to sell the program to Waldrep but others are now in this one heavily.

These recruiting website intentionally worry the hell out of fans for clicks and views.

Ryan Williams will be back in Tuscaloosa this weekend.
The article linked on the last page didn't mention Jaime Ffrench, but he will be in town as well.
Getting Williams, Ffrench and Turbo Rogers on campus at the same time is nice.

I mean it's also Rivals. Taking a glass half empty view of anything Alabama is just what they do.

Steve Wiltfong CB'd '25 AL CB Na'eem Offord to tOSU.
I cannot fathom tOSU coming into the state and taking(purchasing) the top player. Auburn was the perceived favorite, but both instate staffs have had turnover with his recruiters/position coaches.

Recruiting Roundup: Elba star RB Alvin Henderson talks Kalen DeBoer, Derrick Nix and more
quote:
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Henderson is currently ranked as the No. 8 junior recruit in the state, according to the 247 composite rankings. In 2023, he rushed for 3,523 yards and 61 touchdowns on 225 carries – an average of 15.7 yards per carry and 251 yards per game.
“I believe my junior year was way better than my sophomore year just because I felt like I was more locked in and focused,” he said. “I felt like I was able to understand the game more and understand what I had to do on and off the field to be a complete player and a complete person.”
While competing on the basketball court, the uncommitted Henderson is also fielding heavy recruiting interest from multiple schools. He said several coaches, including Florida State’s Mike Norvell, have come to watch him play basketball, and he expects new Auburn running backs coach Derrick Nix to be at his team’s game tonight against Zion Chapel.
“Coach Nix and coach (Hugh) Freeze and coach (Charles) Kelly came down to my school last Monday,” he said of the Auburn staff. “Coach Nix facetimed me last night and said he would be at my game Thursday. I’m already bonding with him, and he’s only had the job like two weeks.”
Henderson said he was “hurt” by the departure of former Auburn running backs coach Carnell Williams but feels like he will be able to build a similar bond with Nix in time. He also said the new Alabama staff has continued to recruit him hard.
“Coach (Robert) Gillespie (Alabama running backs coach) came down as soon as he was able to get on the road,” Henderson said. “He let me know my spot with them was still secure. I’m still everything they want. He just wanted to make sure I can come up and have a conversation with coach (Kalen) DeBoer so coach DeBoer can let me know I’m a priority to him and everything like that.”
Henderson said he doesn’t have a list of finalists at the moment but mentioned Florida State, Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Auburn, Texas A&M, Texas and Penn State as schools he has heard a lot from recently.
He said he could commit in March after he takes a few more visits.

Give it time. This staff hasn't even had a chance to get their names on our official website.

Ohio State just bought the best player on Alabama's football team and the best recruit that Alabama signed in the 2024 recruiting class. Getting the top high school player will be easy in comparison.

Their staff has one year to back up all those checks their boosters just cut.
If they don't win a championship, Day is probably out, and I doubt they'll keep that staff together which will make their roster wide open for plucking similar to what we just went through

Ya,this guys recruitment has been very quiet regarding Alabama. If Auburn was the favorite it makes sense. His going to OSU would not be much of a surprise then either. We should expect these losses post Saban. Still there is time.

This may explain it…from Kevin Steele in ON3 article..
“I’ll give you an example, and it’s a real example. And I’m not opposed to players getting paid. I’m not sure where the lines are,” Steele said Thursday on The Paul Finebaum Show. “You go in the home and the mom tells you, ‘Coach, we loved you. We’ve been up there 15 times, you know everybody in the family’s name. We trust you, we know we’re gonna get developed there, we know we’re gonna have a chance to become a first-round draft pick, we know we’re gonna have a chance to win a national championship. But you guys aren’t in the ballpark in terms of the money.’ Well, we as coaches, we can’t be involved in that, per NCAA rules.'”

I would politely say I'll go develop another player who's hungry for the opportunity.
