Hey count your blessing, I'm just visiting. At least, I guess I can move back anytime but the reality is, it will be another decade before I can reasonably move back unless an outstanding professional opportunity pop up. I wish I could look forward to 2026 .

I'm just ready to move back home.

The worst decision I've ever made in my life was leaving Prattville in 2020.

I did it for financial reasons and we've made a lot of money since the move, but life was so much better before the move.

My wife has told me multiple times that she may never forgive me for moving us to Texas. shite, I may never forgive myself. Other than HEB this place sucks.

They're in for a rude awakening when they look around and realize they have the 5th or 6th most talented roster in the conference and still owe him like $70 million.

Torn with him.

I think he’s a solid X’s and O’s guy and better than anyone they’ve had down there as a gameday coach since Saban.

But I would be really concerned if I were them about that roster. Daniels and the offense covered up what was a 6-6 team because that defense was completely non-functional.

QB- lost the Heisman winner
RB: average
WR: lost two guys who are high rd picks
OL: tbd
DL: putrid
LB: putrid
DB: young but not good

They could have a really tough season ahead of them given the schedule.

Without Daniels, they’d have a losing record.

Honestly, this reminds me of that other project (Prince?) that committed to Auburn.

We’ll see if Hugh can develop him but I’m personally meh about this

Even if he’s a project even raw guys in need of development are super important to get the line shored up. Glad to get him.

It worked out pretty well with Prince Tega but, man, no one had any idea what to make of him when he came in. Signed as a DE and currently doing the “cup of coffee in the big time” regarding the pros.

Looks like Jordan Seaton has decided that Green has become his favorite color now. Before it was Black Colorado. Now it might be Black still with a little more Green mixed in. Go for it my man.

I traveled for twenty five years on my job in the energy sector. I decided to retire and stay home full time and work as a realtor. You had recently moved to Prattville. I remember you telling about the experiences you had with your realtor. So when I became a realtor and Covid hit, I was being asked to do a lot of video tours. I showed people every flaw I saw. I especially would comment on how the house smelled. Because of reading your experiences, it really helped me provide clients what they wanted. I have had a really good five years and a lot of my success is because of reading about what happened to you. Thanks and Roll Tide!

Have to wonder if a kid who wants NIL is going to sit around and be developed or will he be chasing a check every year.

He wants to sign on his 17th birthday (although I guess there could be other reasons not publicly mention (e.g., maybe he has to wait until then to confirm he'll have enough credits to graduate on time?)).

Goes without saying that addressing the OL in the portal just became important.

Alabama wanted an OT in this class. Missed on Edwin and now a likely starter at RT next year has legal issues to put it mildly.

Unless the judge says he has to do community service hours on Fall Saturdays, I don’t think these legal problems will keep him off the field. It is really how he responds to these charges. If he’s guilty, he should plea now and take his lumps in the Spring.

This stuff makes him sound like a real piece of shite though.

The current system, or more accurately, the lack of one is not sustainable. The school's need to come together and agree on some basic sanity checks.

Portal allows free movement every year, but only during certain times, those times need to begin after the natty game and end before fall camp. No one should be transferring during the season.

Recruiting/Contacting players on a current roster should be considered tampering outside of certain time periods. the NFL has a rule similar to this. Punishments for this need to involve lengthy suspensions for the head coach (not the lackey assistant who did the deed). Repeated violations should result in show cause.

as for the money. Right now there is no limit. Many college players are going to have to take a significant pay cut when they go to the NFL. The NFL salaries are kept in check by the cap. College has no cap. In theory a super wealthy guy could buy Vandy the entire All-American teams, all three levels. Assuming everyone is for sale, which it seems everyone is today. At some point that will need addressing.

Pritchett may want to really leave now with all the scrutiny heading his way. May have been why he put his name in the portal.
