Our overall team ranking went up and UGA's went down on the On3 Consensus (unless the update is late). We basically gained almost a full point and that is with UGA gaining 3 5 stars in the update.

Bama 95.97 to 96.20
UGA 95.41 to 94.71

Its 100% politics. They do it every year. We cant have great players without someone else dropping.

Recruiting services love Hubbard, lunch pail guy.

Lunch pail is probably not a good description. The raves of him when working out with the team in bowl prep were about how fast he is. Big-time straight-line speed. We'll see if the lateral quickness (and ability to cut with receivers) can come close to matching that.

Tony has taken a hit across the recruiting service although this is a bigger one than others. Don't know if it is how he handled the recruitment process or overall play that is impacting him.

I think its the size. He is a kid who already wasnt a burner. Adding a lot of bulk will limit what he can do in our defense.

That is part of it per on3. They also said he struggled some at UnderArmour, didn't do the circuit much (cashin' them checks), and really wasn't challenged at Thompson at corner and haven't seen him much at safety.

Well when Rivals come out with their rankings things will change again. Not sure if 247 and ESPN have done theirs.

That’s very surprising. Recovering from a knee injury. But I expected he would be competing for an ILB spot.

Why? He's never found a position. In 2021 he had to move to RB due to injuries. In Spring 2022, he was practicing with the OLBs.

Next year, he's probably not in the two-deep at ILB.

Starters at ILB will likely be:
Jefferson/Campbell and Lawson

2s will likely be:
Jefferson/Campbell and Murphy

You also have Blackshire in the mix with Jefferson and Campbell.

I think all the position jumping really hurt his chances to develop at ILB.

He played running back and then he was playing OLB if i recall. Cant really blame him.

Between the shuffling of positions and the injury, he never got to develop. But I thought he might stay and fight for a position in the spring.

Really thought he would develop once he put on good weight… his film was awesome with great closing speed . Good luck to him
