With the addition of 4-star offensive guard Darrian Dalcourt on Thursday evening, Alabama retook the No. 1 spot in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings. The position had been occupied by Georgia for the last week after the Bulldogs picked up some late summer momentum on the recruiting trail.
As it stands, the Crimson Tide sits with 287.92 points ahead of Georgia with 286.30 points. Texas A&M, which has also picked up a string of commitments to end the summer, sits at No. 3 with 285.13 points.
Alabama held the top spot for the majority of the summer after 4-star Jack linebacker target Kevin Harris committed to the program in early May. For a while the Tide was atop the standings by a wide margin. The Tide’s 21-man class is headlined by 5-star offensive tackle Pierce Quick, Alabama’s longest-tenured pledge.
Alabama has filled several needs thus far including its defensive line. Four-star defensive end Antonio Alfano leads that group ranked the No. 4 strong-side defensive end and the No. 54 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Other highly-ranked recruits in the class include Amari Kight, the No. 9 offensive tackle and No. 47 overall player; Shane Lee, the No. 4 inside linebacker and the No. 73 overall player; Christian Williams, the No. 8 cornerback and the No. 74 overall player; Kevin Harris, the No. 5 weak-side defensive end and the No. 92 overall player; and DeMarcco Hellams, the No. 7 safety and the No. 96 overall player.
The Crimson Tide staff will have the opportunity to put together one of its best classes of all-time with the caliber of players it continues to recruit.
Alabama is heavily in the mix for several 5-star prospects including outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux, defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher, running back Trey Sanders, offensive tackles Darnell Wright and Evan Neal, safety Daxton Hill, inside linebacker Nakobe Dean and center Clay Webb[.
Earlier this year, BamaOnLine Publisher Tim Watts talked about the Tide’s recruiting efforts in the 2019 recruiting cycle:
“The enthusiasm is at an all-time high,” BamaOnLine Publisher Tim Watts said about Alabama’s current recruiting efforts. “It started with the new hires and the weekend of the national championship celebration and it has just carried over and it’s paying off. The players, coaches and families talk about the atmosphere and of course the success of Alabama has always shown up in many ways. But you can see the effort especially on social media and how excited the coaching staff is that is currently there.”
Alabama will look to fill out its class strong heading into the Early Signing Period this December after not signing the No. 1 class in the country this past cycle for the first time in seven years.

I checked my email. Apparently there is a black haired big boobed milf wanting to bone me and she is only 3.2 miles away.
Which one of you sent me this?

Damn sure wasn't me. I'm a team player but that looks like a one man job

Well, I googled it and the are 17 spots that are 3.2 miles away, but only three houses. About to grab my hat, a full can of crisco, and some ducktape. Wish me luck guys.

Scouting report: Dalcourt, who is the No. 14 offensive guard in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, has quick feet, plays with a strong base and he should offer position flexibility when he arrives on campus.
I saw Dalcourt play during his junior season, and watched him again on the camp circuit in May, and both times I left impressed because of his body control, his business-like approach and his steadiness. He was strong and confident.
Dalcourt played mostly right tackle last season and he is moving to center this fall, but he also projects as a guard. Because of his talent, he excelled at tackle last season. Because of his skill set and size, he fits best on the interior in college.
Whether it is pass protection or in the running game, Dalcourt’s ability to move his feet quickly and remain balanced and engaged on his block make him a high level player. He needs to be a bit more consistent in sinking his hip and driving up through the player in the running game, but he can bend his knees well and win the leverage battle.
Dalcourt is strong in the lower body and his initial punch comes with force. He is able to turn the defensive player and create a running lane, and his hand placement is solid. He has the athleticism to pull, and also to scrape at the line of scrimmage and block at the second level.
In the pass game, Dalcourt pops up quickly, gets his hands inside on the pass rusher and he makes slides his feet well. He is patient and does not reach. Dalcourt does not have a great kick-step, but he moves his feet so well, he can thrive in high school without one.
Final Analysis: I like Dalcourt a lot, but he is not as well known as many other prospects because he laid low in the recruiting process. His combination of power and athleticism make him a very good prospect, and he should develop into a player who can line up at either guard position or center. Alabama got a very good player, and one who should be ready to play during his red-shirt freshman season.

How tall is Buggs? He's wearing flip flops.

Per BOL, Buggs = 6-5, Raekwon Davis = 6-7.

That said, Webb is a badass with great feet, so he probably can play OG well in college. And he might even grow a bit taller by next fall.
I'm hoping Taulia can pull that off too.

Me, too. But Tua was 6'1" at the same age that Tualia is 5'11".
Don't get your hopes up.

I read somewhere that we weren't recruiting Webb as a center but as a Guard. I think the recruiting sites put the center tag on him because he was being moved to center for his HS team this year.

Correct. Bone has said multiple times Webb doesn't want to play center in college therefore hes not being recruited as a center....
