Cowan just couldn’t stay out of trouble. Had a list of issues before that, hopefully another school will give him a chance and I wish him nothing but the best.

Yea I agree just think it's gay that this dude tried to get him to fight so he wouldn't release the video. But you have to be accountable for your actions.

The dude who did that is a wuss. He would have got his as s beat and then called the police anyway.

Hopefully Cowan will get it together but right now he's not ready. I pray he'll get himself together because he's thrown away an opportunity of a lifetime but he can redeem himself. Let us move on.

Well said and exactly right.

I’m a product of the 80s and 90s I thought it was a right of passage to get into a fight drunk. Guess I’m the Lone Ranger in this one. I did not however know about all of his previous transgressions nor did I hear what happened in the fight

So who commits publically first Hill, Ika, Sanders or Crouch?
Posted on 7/9/18 at 5:09 pm to Carlton
I think the order you have is pretty nice. Hill did say committing soon on twitter. Crouch tho? We in on him?
Posted on 7/9/18 at 5:17 pm to Tide or Die87
We are in on him, but he doesn’t talk about us much publicly and no one that I’ve seen sees us as a major player. I just threw him in there because pretty much everyone who has committed to us has been out of nowhere

FRISCO, TX – The Opening Finals have come and gone. The annual invite-only event which brings together 166 of the nation's top high school prospects together every summer for four days of competition inside The Star outside of Dallas was chalk full of Miami commits and targets which is why InsideTheU and 247Sports made the trek out to the Lone Star State to see all the action.
Much has been made of our recruiting reports and observations from the 7-on-7 tournament and offensive/defensive line challenge, but we wanted to take some time and recap what exactly we learned while we were out on the road before we shift gears towards Mark Richt's annual Paradise Camp on July 28 which is expected to bring a number of top high-profile prospects to Coral Gables for a weekend of fun. Call it a readers digest of sort for Hurricanes fans wanting to know what they need to know coming out of The Opening Finals as Richt & Co. look to add talent to a recruiting class that currently ranks No. 15 in the country per the industry-generated composite.

ALABAMA IS THE BIGGEST THREAT FOR EVAN NEAL
![]()
We kind of knew this coming into the event, but Evan Neal's interviews only echoed what we have heard in recent weeks, and that's the fact that Alabama is Miami's biggest competition right now in the recruitment.
Neal, who was named 247Sports' 'Alpha Dog' of the trenches on Monday, visited both schools in June and will likely take officials to both programs before he makes a decision.
The good news for the Hurricanes in all this? The IMG Academy Top100 offensive tackle says mom wants him at UM and if it was up to her he would already be committed to Richt and o-line coach Stacy Searels.
Note: Unless Neal is already a silent commit to Miami, it looks like it's his decision to make, not his mom's. Neal told Hank he wishes he could but can't come to UA's Champions Cookout on July 28. He's from Okechobee, so maybe he'll be at Miami's Paradise Camp on July 28 instead.
Sidenote: Per Hank, Darnell Wright will be at our cookout. Tennessee's cookout is the day after Bama's. Clemson pushed hard for Wright to come to their cookout that weekend too. Hank thinks Bama wants Wright and Neal both. I'm skeptical about that, since Kight is aready on board and space is so tight.

TYRIQUE STEVENSON CAN PLAY
![]()
Ok, we kind of knew this too heading into The Opening Finals, but it needs to be pointed out that the folks at 247Sports have been higher on Tyrique Stevenson than anyone else in the recruiting industry for a while now and have stated that he's one of the nation's top prospects this cycle.
The Miami Southridge defensive back only backed that up on Monday and Tuesday totaling three interceptions while playing both cornerback and safety for a Team Overdrive squad that won the double-elimination 7-on-7 tournament.
Stevenson also clocked a laser-timed 4.49 in the 40-yard dash Sunday which landed him a spot in the 'fastest man' competition. He's the real deal.
Note: The chatter I've seen is that Stevenson has been leaning Miami for some time, but UGA is also a very serious contender. I haven't seen anyone saying much of anything about Bama having a good shot after his visit. That doesn't necessarily mean they don't, especially with way things have gone so far on out of state targets.
Sidenote: Akeem Dent is expected at our next cookout on July 28.

Right now I’d say sanders. Hill will commit shortly after, I’ll see about Ika.

Can we get a barfight roll call please?
Never been in a bar fight. Haven't been in a fight since I was a teenager. Seems pretty childish.

Retired Marine so bar fights were common place at the French Creek e club and similar places. My first bar fight was on west pac deployment on a stop at subic bay, PI.

I wonder what TideSaint's barfight stats look like?

I've had some opportunities -- asshats trying to pick a fight with me. I just just walk away and go have a friendly talk with the biggest bouncer in the place. Then he does his "locked and loaded" talk with the trouble maker(s). Game over.

He’s in the Air Force so I doubt he’s been in as many as the jarhead. There is the possibility he likes to fight though.

I think Crouch ends up at Clemson. At least that is the word around these parts. UT is a player but he will wait to see if CJP can actually turn things around in Knoxville.
