I could be wrong but if he did not sign an NLI he is not bound to UM until he sets foot in a class room. A lot of players sign financial papers(including scholarships) to get enrolled but they are not binding. Ask UT fans about that when Kiffin left and called commits to not go to class in Knoxville and try to pull them with him out west.

I may be wrong, but I think the NLI is a standard agreement that the NCAA Bylaws incorporate and that the Bylaws also allow for use of aid agreements in lieu of NLIs. I don't know to what extent the Bylaws allow for aid agreements to have binding terms and conditions. Kiffin left UT in Jan-2010, before National Signing Day.

UM is already showing him on their website which means Hill signed a NLI or they could not show him.

But it also shows getting a hardship by the NCAA pretty easy nowadays as well. So anything is possible.

Maybe Michigan can publicize Hill if he signed a binding aid agreement instead of an NLI. Or as I said, maybe they made an agreement to honor an NLI release request from Hill if CJH leaves.

I'm on record in saying I'm not a fan of Harbaugh's big game game planning and in game adjustments but he is better than 80-85% of the head coaches in the NFL and I may be underselling him.

I wish I was allowed to have that feeling in the last half of the NFL season

Hill is probably gone folks. It may be true, but I don't buy the he heard Harbaugh was leaving so he flipped story. Whether it is financial aid papers or the NLI why commit to anything until Feb 6th if you are uncertain? It isn't as if Michigan wouldn't have waited. I remember the narrative being early on he wanted Bama and his parents wanted Michigan. This sounds like he flipped without permission and his parents told him he was taking his narrow, country arse to Michigan. I hope you guys are right but that is what makes the most sense to me. At least based on my parents .

Yeah, several possibilities could seem to mesh with the sequence of events. Maybe something happens with Hill if Hairball leaves, maybe not.

He's been very good everywhere he's been and his brand of ultra stale, plodding play style that like absolutely demands that 1) everyone else play by your rules in a style that's really just a slight variation of what you do or 2) not have a significantly more talented roster than you is more likely to get over the hump in the NFL.

Remember that time Rashaan Evans signed with Auburn?
I don't. But I do remember his name on their website.

LINK ]Alabama's #1-ranked 2020 class in its entirety (BamaOnLine)

Chris Braswell
quote:

Alabama wrapped up the Early Signing Period atop the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings for 2019. The Crimson Tide will have an opportunity to grow its lead in the standings as we head towards February.

With the Early Signing Period in its second year, we've seen the Tide take a more expedited approach on the recruiting trail in some areas, and that's evident in Alabama's 2020 class at the moment. Nick Saban and staff have accepted 11 commitments thus far in the cycle and will certainly continue to push for more as we enter the New Year.

Like the Tide's 2019 class, Alabama ranks No. 1 in the 2020 as well, with an average per/commit rating of 0.9344.

The Tide has already hit on several needs in the class, but with a little under 12 months to go until pen to paper, expect Bama to continue to push for all areas of need in the cycle.

Here, BamaOnLine takes a look at each of the Tide's 2020 commitments...

CARSON BECK, 4-STAR QB, JACKSONVILLE (FL) MANDARIN

quote:

Height/Weight: 6-foot-3.5, 214 pounds

247 Composite: #10 PS-QB, #240 player

Commitment date: 6/26/18

Not many players in the nation had better years than Beck. The 4-star quarterback led Mandarin to the Class 8A state championship and won Mr. Football in Florida in the process, passing for over 3500 yards and 39 touchdowns on the season. You can expect a number of schools to come calling to try and flip the Sunshine State signal caller, but Beck is locked in with the Tide as it stands.

Height/Weight: 5-foot-10, 202 pounds

247 Composite: # 20 RB, # 263 player

Commitment date: 11/24/18

Williams put up eye-popping numbers this fall, rushing for nearly 2,800 yards and 36 touchdowns on the year. The 4-star back chose the Tide over Auburn during a visit to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl. The Tide signed the No. 1 running back in 2019 in Trey Sanders, and currently has one of the more special players at the position in 2020 on board.

Height/Weight: 6-foot, 169 pounds

Commitment date: 4/20/18

Worsham is another electric wideout like Baker. Hewitt-Trussville has been very good to the Tide with both Pierce Quick and Paul Tyson opting for UA in the 2019 cycle and now Worsham and 4-star corner Malachi Moore in 2020.

Wide receiver is a big priority of Alabama's in 2020, especially if it only signs one pass catcher in the 2019 cycle. Baker has all the tools to be an excellent college wideout and Alabama took notice of that early.

Commitment date: 7/31/18

Clark visited Tuscaloosa last summer for the Champions Cookout and didn't wait long to make his decision known, committing to the Tide publicly upon returning home from campus. The 3-star tight end just helped his team to their fourth straight state championship and is locked in with the Tide.

Jones, the top player in the state for the cycle, committed to Alabama last summer over Georgia and Mississippi State, among others. Jones is a very vocal leader of the class on Twitter. He plans to take official visits elsewhere, but is solid with the Tide as it stands.

Commitment date: 11/19/18

Like 2019, the 2020 class is a good in-state year for the Tide with several commits already on the list that call Alabama home. Latham picked up an offer this fall and committed shortly thereafter. The All-State defensive lineman is firm with Alabama.

Bratton may be the Pierce Quick of 2019 when all is said and done. The longtime UA pledge is the in-state leader of the class and has been actively working on others to join him at the Capstone. The 4-star 'backer is coming off an All-State junior season.

Like Hewitt-Trussville, Alabama has turned to St. Frances Academy often in recent cycles, landing guys like 5-star edge rusher Eyabi Anoma in 2018 and signing 4-stars Shane Lee and Darrian Dalcourt this cycle. Braswell is the top edge rusher in the 2020 class and chose the Tide early on after visiting Bama for the Iron Bowl.

Like Worsham, Moore is another top recruit out of the Huskies program to opt for Alabama. The 4-star corner is coming off an All-State year in Class 7A. He's been all Alabama since committing to the program last summer.
