Like I said earlier as long as we get either Nakobe or To'oto'o I'm good because we already have Harris.

I get that you think so, I really don't see him as projecting as a good ILB, at least in the short term which is when we really need the depth Dean would prefer provide.

Christian Harris is limited to ILB; Kevin Harris to OLB. Mwikuta and To'oto'o can play play both. We'll be in great shape if we get either one of Dean or To'oto'o and still ok if we get neither. If we miss on both, maybe we get Bogle and develop Mwikuta for inside and/or maybe add Devonta Lee, who projects well at ILB but needs development there. Everything I've seen says we're in great shape with To'oto'o. And don't sleep on Shane Lee -- great FB IQ and physically ready. If anything, he could slim down a bit. Christian Harris is physically ready, but has to learn the ILB position. Imo, Bama's staff appears to managing LB recruiting about as well as can be expected.

I think missing on Dean and To'oto'o would be considered the biggest fail of the class. We can adapt and have players to play those positions, but like you said it would take some development. I don't think we miss on both though. I think we have always been favorited for To'oto'o.

I haven't been there. I haven't eaten out in Center Point in a pretty long time. No McDonalds or anything. I'm sorry I'm not more help, I'm just scared my food will get spit in around here

I'm rarely in CP these days, but it's the only place within about 25 miles with a Popeye's. I noticed Koo's the other day when I was down there.

Why do think he is a WILL at 240ish? I agree inside, but the weight makes think Mike. Always trusted your opinions.

Don’t think we miss on both. To’oto’to is just waiting to commit. Shane Lee is a beast. Harris is just a freak that can play football. I can’t wait for this class to get on campus.

With Tyson and Lia on campus and at practice any news on the Shoulder Surgery that Lia had? What was involved and will he be able to participate in the Spring? or Summer programs? (I had rotator cuff and it was worse than open heart or so it seemed at the time. rehab was worse).

Maybe I went too specific as far as ILB goes, he just screams a guy you just let go make plays with his athletic ability. Spy the QB or shoot the gap on a blitz.

Not to say he couldn't play MIKE, but I still see the MIKE as the Fullback of the defense and the WILL as the Halfback. MLB does the heavy lifting, WLB gets the big play opportunities.

He definitely could be a MACK, and honestly depending on if he gets any bigger, he could probably spotlight as a Big Nickle/Dime like Jarrick Williams or Hootie Jones.

Downside would probably be Ronnie Clark. Not knocking him at all, but it was very clear very early it wasn't in him to play LB/defense. Talent was there...

I just hope we were telling Bogle to hold off in an attempt to not give Thibs and depth excuse.
Thibbs was asked by ESPN commentator why you picked a school known for just it's offense.
"he said I want to be the big man on defense ",
the one to put the defense on the map "
So I get the LA kid wanting to be the big fish in a small defensive pond.
Like I posted in another thread the kid was going to be one to handle and he wanted the I more than what Bama is about.
We have done much better with Louisiana/SFLA/GA kids and I just hope Bogle still is a take.
We could afford to miss out on him too as long as we get Toto.
Because Bogle is gonna need a yr to get bigger yet would play special teams using the 4 games allowed before the red shirt kicks in.

Honestly, and it super easy to say this now in hindsight, I think Bama knew they weren't landing KT well before today.

It screamed Travis Rudolph...

Think CJ Mosley vs Donta. The Mike is the run thumper that takes on a 310# OG and shoves him in the hole to clog up the running lane. Must have the ability to play thru the blocker. The Will needs sideline to sideline speed. Scrape behind the clog made by the mike and fill the hole. If he is play side, shoot the gap and blow past the OG block attempt. The Will also needs to be the guy who follows the RB when they cut back.

When you go to Dime You need a mike with an attitude to play Mack LB. Plays a little softer. Follows the ball from the back shoulder and has the ability to cover mid-depth center field.

I feel like this is the biggest deciding factor when we come in second place for players. The other coach is in his ear talking about being the best player on the team vs being another good player. I don't really understand it though because Alabama probably gets more media time than anyone lol.

Good to get back here and see what I have missed out on the last couple of days. Been two days of hell in the women's world of weddings where they look at you when someone walks up with a bill. Buying dinner, cake and dancing for 600 sucks! My daughter also asked that I leave my phone in the car

I imagine it would be fun being the big man on defense until you’re getting double or triple teamed and then the fans start calling you out for lack of stats.

Ive seen the kid Christian Harris play in the State playoffs back to back years and this kid flows so naturally and also loves to hit.
I say flow because you don't realize the ground he covers because he does it so easy.
He can play anywhere on the field and would make a great LB,TE,SS,HB and will play LB & Mack wilson's spot at Bama.
But his knowledge of playing WR,TE,S,CB will make him so valuable playing in the middle of the defense with coverage skills of a DB.
