So, generally speaking that weekend was kind of a bust, although admittedly for the first time, this year. That being said it probably will not matter cause I'm pretty sure after this year Saban will have the vast majority of next year's class signed during the early period.
No it was not and to be honest you are not going to sway a top recruit with some dog and pony show. You have to build relationships. We lost Peterson and Walker once Pruitt left. Smart also started building these relationships while still at UA.

A bunch of silents a year out??? IDK about that bud
Let's think about this logically. The staff clearly has a bunch of silents at those positions we are thin at. Otherwise, why would we slow-play Langham and lose Beal to freaking A&M? The staff has silents from multiple players that are better than Langham and Beal. That's the only thing that makes sense.
If they don't have those silents, and we don't bring in 4-6 DL and 4-5 LB's, then we can criticize them. There's a reason why he brought in a new staff. He knows we need to get so many players next year. The staff isn't going to be complacent on the recruiting trail for the second year in a row. They know they can't afford to do that again.

Saban botched this class by hiring a shite recruiting staff last year and we're paying the price. Call it what it is.
A top ten class. And two of the top ten players in the country.

Also our best classes seem to come the year after we win a NC. So I would wager next years class will be a top class and like someone already said would not be surprised to have it mostly locked up in December.

And perhaps some of that same staff helped us win the ultimate goal, the national championship. So, not exactly a total disaster.
We re-tooled and appear to have as good a recruiting staff as anybody in the country again. I hope they can also coach football.

It's scary that some folks can't even admit that this is a down year for us, as far as recruiting goes. It's pretty obvious but there are people either in denial or flat out brainwashed.
Saying it's a down year isn't saying the class is bad.

Yep appears Bama is done for the day. Not the day we hoped for but this team is very loaded. Only area I am disappointed in is at DL. Needed true DTs. Met needs in secondary today big time.

A top 10 class means nothing. Elite classes are in the 1-3 range. Mark Richt and Gus are kings of classes in the 6-10 range and you see what that level of classes got them. 10 win seasons with no hardware. If you want our program to become that, go ahead and celebrate our worst class since 2007. I won't be joining you.

I haven’t watched ESPN in years other than when Alabama plays on it. I can’t stomach it. The liberal dog shite they spew drive me to seizures.

Agree 100% with some of the stuff above.
This class was a bad combination of having 2 DCs who were great, long term recruiters both leave with contacts and great relationships inside this class and bringing in some guys who weren't elite recruiters and couldn't overcome that stuff. Peterson and Walker are here if Pruitt stays. I don't think there is any argument there, is there? Losing Pruitt was rough, and he even didn't have super long term Alabama relationships with these kids.
Hopefully the new staff guys are great and, due to age and experience, stick around for 3-4 years. The stability of the staff, especially when it turns over more than once amongst key leaders, 100% kills you in recruiting. It kills you even more when those guys leave to go to places where they then leverage those relationships to beat you with guys.

Has Jarvis Landry being a bitch been discussed yet?

I bet Saban is already telling the coaches that this won't happen again.

So is Dabo.
Nobody wants to consistently be in 7-10 instead of 1-3, but your theory re: Richt and Gus works off of the unsaid constant that all coaches and programs are created equal. Our program not only signs great players it develops them and runs on a different level than either Gus' or Richt's.

Tribalism. We had 7 top ranked classes in a row and we are sitting at 8th. We also are getting beat on players we clearly really wanted. The difference in UGA's class in ours is massive. With that said Saban adapts better than anyone. Very confident next year's class will be better.

If there was ever a time to raid Louisiana, it's now. It should be open season for recruits down there now that the heat will really be on that Oyster Shucker they call a head coach.

Not everything we could have hoped for, but we have plenty of talent and this is a great class!
