Now, I don't really have much to base this of off at all and it's pure conjecture, but it wouldn't surprise me if we unfortunately happen to miss one or both (depending on what happens with other guys at different positions) of PS2/TC that we then try to get Copeland. In this scenario, either Copeland or Williams moves to DB. Hell, maybe Saban is already aware of this possibility, and it played into not pressing for ITS (along with the other factors).
Additionally, their announcement times make sense for this, too, I think.
Yeah, the staff does like their DB potential, and Copeland is high on the board. Last night, Watts tabbed Copeland his "surprise pick" to Bama.

I have read that as well, ive read that on here, Saban likes him as a DB because we likely miss out on PS2, and Campbell

Dude. You have zero clue how these guys are going to turn out. It’s one thing to get worked up over where high school boys choose to go to college. It’s another altogether to let recruiting services’ rankings of those guys to cause you so much grief.

How many 3 star type players turned out to be some of Bama's greatest? You need to be appreciative of each commit, for anyone of them could turn out to be the next greatest Bama player

I don't think I've ever complained about any poster but his crap is getting really old. It's nothing ban worthy mind you but I wish he'd go bleed all over some other thread. He has been on a multi day melt.
