Edit: Parks did an Official Visit to Bama, so he can't be given a blueshirt scholly.

Parks must've really wanted to play for the GOAT bad if he is willing to grayshirt over signing elsewhere.

If he is gonna grey shirt, staff must be confident in ray and smith. Still sucks for him though imo

Apparently Markail Benton has some work to do in the classroom. Maybe Parks gets a scholarship if Benton doesn't qualify.

To be elligible for blueshirt you can't take an official visit to the school. Blueshirt can enroll in summer and pay their own way for summer (like preferred walk-on) or wait and show up for fall camp. Once fall camp starts, they can be given a scholly if one is available under 85 total cap and it counts against the next year 25 class cap. If no scholly comes available they would have to pay their own way (remaining in PWO status) in order to enroll and continue practicing.

Makes sense - probably told him that at worst he greyshirts, at best we lose a kid to academics and he can take their place.
