I have no idea on the backcount answer, but multiple recruting insiders for Bama have said the staff wants and will take Mathis. There are 4-5 spots open now and Mathis is a part of them.

Bone just said he is hearing Mathis wants to come to Bama, but there is immense pressure on him due to Dylan Moses and Chris Allen leaving the state to come play for Bama. Says the staff is confident going into tomorrow, but you never know with these Louisiana kids and the amount of pressure being put on Mathis.

Edit: Also, the staff isn't as confident on Soloman as his sources at Michigan are. So, unless Soloman is just telling UM what they want to hear to keep them off his back it isn't looking good for the good guys on this one.

Dead period so I doubt these coaches are being told anything but I never felt good about Solomon and we have board insiders that have far more info them Bone ever will which I am convinced all his sources are from message boards
