I mean I get your point but if Harris just said where he was going and ended the speculation then no more drama

He can say he doesn't like the recruiting game but he is certainly playing a lot lately

It usually gets exposed every year after NSD when you realize they all take the "feeling good, 55-45" approach. BOL isn't as bad but they all do it.

Michigan 24/7 is responsible for a lot of the noise surrounding Harris.

Seems pretty lame for 247 to post an article this evening about Najee saying his destination is still unknown, with no mention of him requesting a change of his airline ticket destination from CA to AL. Seems like click bait since they posted the following article this afternoon:

Source: Najee Harris requests a flight change — to Alabama

Barton Simmons - 247Sports
quote:

SAN ANTONIO — The saga of No. 1 recruit Najee Harris appears all but over.

Per an U.S. Army All-American Bowl operations source, Harris has requested a flight change — asking to land in Birmingham now, instead of back home in California (Oakland). That would put the running back on Alabama's campus by Sunday evening at the latest as an early-enrollee, ending a dizzying back-and-forth between Alabama and Michigan that's worn on for months.

Thursday morning, multiple sources told 247Sports that Harris' was booked for an Oakland-bound flight at the end of the trip. That was counter to what Bama commit Tua Tagovailoa said Wednesday, when he told 247Sports' Hank South that Harris would be on his flight to Alabama. As part of the invitation to play in the Army Bowl, travel is paid for, with a departing flight from San Antonio to anywhere of the player's choice. Those flights can be changed — and Thursday afternoon, after practice No. 3, Harris made use of the flexible nature of the Army Bowl's travel capabilities. It is unclear, but assumed, that Harris' travel request will be accommodated.

A non-Bama bound player on the West squad told 247Sports on Thursday he had heard Harris would stick with his Alabama commitment, too. Classes start Jan. 11 at Alabama.

The 6-foot-2 Harris is a five-star recruit out of Antioch (CA) and the No. 1 player in the 2017 class per the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Alabama in April of 2015.

There's no question that there's a lot of manufactured drama among a lot of the elite recruits these days in recruiting. For example, I don't believe Mack Wilson or Ben Davis seriously considered Uga or UF last year for very long, but yet we all remember the whole drama leading up to Signing Day 2016.

I agree but at the same he owes no one including those sites an answer just like Saban does not feel he has to answer questions to the press. Maybe if they would stop harassing these kids for info this crap would not take place. They create this drama and environment for these kids to do this and with Najee I think he is just tired of answering questions and being harassed

I also believe if he is going to UM he already told our staff and to be honest that is he only people he owes any thing to not the fans or the vultures that work at these sites

That has been my sentiment all along. If he is not coming here, and he may not, I bet Saban knows it already.

So, how's everyone doing tonight?

Me? Oh I'm doing great. It's currently -1 here in beautiful Idaho and my water pipes are frozen from the water meter to the house.

Just having a great time.

Are Moses and Jeudy on campus yet?

Is Baker not on campus? I figured he would be practicing like Buggs is.

Anyone know the issue with Townsand? Has the NCAA not approved him yet? Is that why he couldn't practice?

Just got an inside scoop: Najee changed his plane ticket to Birmingham, MICHIGAN!! In Oakland County, Michigan! Lol!

Seriously, if you don't like this recruiting game, SHUT IT DOWN with one little sentence: I have been committed to Bama for 2 years and despite a great push from other schools like Michigan, I am standing by my commitment. End of story. You are feeding the monster and perpetuating it by remaining silent. I don't get it.

I hope Najee's flight to Birmingham doesn't get delayed/cancelled.

The high here tomorrow is 6. Six fricking degrees.

At 6 AM it will be -8 with a wind chill of -20.

Should be fun.

At least my heat still works. Those pipes aren't frozen.

If a little snow in Birmingham, AL, makes him change his mind to attend Michigan then we dodged a bullet. Nobody is that dumb. At least, I hope not.

And if that were the case, wouldn't we be turning up the heat big time on Akers to try and flip him?

I know that feeling. Spent two winters living and working in downtown Chicago. Brutal sub-zero temps and wind-chills!
