Don't get me started on the BOL posters I was reading a thread the other day and there were so many people saying some recruit (forgot who) was going here, there, and everywhere. They had done "confirmed" and checked with "their guy" on it

The reason for all the Bama optimism with Smith at one point (besides growing up a Bama fan and his parents really liking Bama) is that at one point his sister was telling him what a cluster it was up there (when players were leaving and Hurd quit, etc..) and recommending he go elsewhere. Butch must have done a really good job getting things straight with that family, because nobody around them thought he would wind up at utk for a few weeks there. Orr, redfish and others said that he also privately committed to Ohio State on his visit there. Sounds easily impressionable.

Tennessee's "brand" is pumpkin orange trash bags. He wasn't high on my personal board. I think he's soft. He doesn't have a lot of agressive play to him.
