Some dude just put in a CB for Xavier Kelly to Florida State.

Rashan Gary got another to Auburn from Wesley Sinor
Wesley Sinor is one of those writers that hears something and turns it into something else. Like a bad rumor that gets reworded. He heard Rashan Gary and auburn and thought, done deal. He probably reads the barn thread for info.

Sinor is pretty terrible.

I think Steve Wiltfong's the one to take of some merit seeing he covers the Michigan site and the area.
That said, I'd surprised as it stood right now he wound up there. Unless playing time plays a major role, which Auburn can offer with the size of the DL class they expect.
Hopefully he has some Hand in him(lol, just reread that), the mindset he has to work rather than instant gratification...

Gary going to the Barn would be strange if taken at face value. But the fact that an elite recruit from New Jersey is strongly considering the Barn and... Ole Mi$$ makes me wonder about him. Those are the two that always make you wonder.

Credit to Mag on the HZT for pointing out this quote. I admit I skimmed over what he had to say about the other schools.
Where is that Saban "kiss my arse" gif when you need it?
quote:
Clemson doesn't make their presence felt on the recruiting trail in Kansas all that much, but they couldn't hold back from pursuing Kelly.
"I like Clemson," Kelly admitted. "They have a strong family atmosphere and good academics. They don't offer junior college players so you don't have to worry about being replaced by an older player that enters the program when you're a junior or senior. They're all about getting a degree and they're very strict on academics. They have a very high graduation rate."

Did not know Clemson does not take JUCO's. If true that's a heck of a handicap.

so the school at large does not take JUCO kids in for academics either. Sounds like a issue with equality as one would want the football team to look like the general population of the school

Wesley Sinor prediction on Quinnen Williams. He is pretty terrible. Lol
quote:
I don't feel overly confident about this, because I think there's an outside chance he could end up committing to Mississippi State. However, he says the Crimson Tide is recruiting him the hardest, and I just don't see him committing to Auburn again.

I'll be shocked if he doesn't pick Alabama.

If that is the case shouldn't all football players, along with all scholarship athletes, have to meet the same requirements as the non student athlete. Meaning no sliding scale for test scores, no exemptions, and require the same acceptance requirements, which is a lot higher for the general population than the football player. Just saying if we are talking about equality for the students overall regarding admission.

In Basketball they do. This guy was in the last class

According to everything out there the college does takes JUCOs but on the academic side they make it very tough to get in. The coaches want them but are limited. CU had JUCOs back in 05 & 06.
