Getting a stud mlb has been difficult for us lately. We had Whitley until he flipped last year and that screwed us over. Compared to our outside linebacker depth, the inside is looking a little thin.

I think we're consciously trying to get more players that fit what would have been an OLB a few years ago as our MLBs. For instance, Whitley fit that mold. But, I think this makes the "four" LB positions even more interchangeable than what they previously were.

From the GSB, it sounds like Eason's visit at UGA is going very well. His dad bought a lot of UGA gear for himself, parents have asked about the dorms, etc.

I'm not doubting he'll eventually commit to Georgia, and I think that he will, unfortunately, but this information doesn't mean much. Lots of recruits and their families by plenty of gear. I'd also assume everybody asks about dorms during their visits.

Does this mean people take issues from this board and tweet about them?!

I don't know any from this board, but there are some a-hole bama fans that tweet at recruits when they decommit. Why? I don't know, but they say some pretty mean things to these kids.

True, but a lot of times the OLB mold kids are a lot bigger. The bigger ILBs were great for the traditional pro-style teams because they helped stop the run. The problem, though, is that many of the bigger guys lack the stamina to compete successfully against the HUNH, and aren't as quick.

Ohhhhh, that's what you meant. Yes, that's absurd. I absolutely wish players would be more literal when they committed to a program. But at the end of the day, it's a 16-18 year old kid de-committing because he wants to go to college somewhere else. Jesus. Let him be.

Also, semi-related, I don't know how casual fans even follow some of these recruits on Twitter. I have a very good buddy who, as part of his job, has to follow a bunch of different recruits on Twitter. It's a miserable aspect of the job. (Also, I'm going to plug Twitter as a service for all of the people out there that don't use it.)

I am seeing our D focus more on the smaller athletes and as you said the bigger guys lack stamina but they also lack speed to cover sideline to sideline. We are starting to move in the direction of the old Miami teams. They would take S and make them LBs, bigger LB and make them DEs and so forth. Those teams were just loaded with athletes.

Losing Leo Lewis hurts but we have to take the good with the bad.... This recruiting class has been incredible so far. We are already running out of room.

Harrison will decide July 29 at his school's media days whether he is staying with UNC or flipping.

This. Every year we lose one or two that I wish we could keep but then flash forward to February and I always wish we had a couple more spots open because we are turning away top 100 recruits. It's like being Elvis and getting upset because a girl broke up with you.

That's a ford fusion. No wonder kids are de-committing if that's what we are handing out now

Downgraded from Chargers and Chuck's to Fusions and Waffle House.

Maybe this is just temporary until the Benz dealership is up and running.
