These are the things that really stood out to me from the interview: (The TL;DR version if you will
)
-Work ethic
-He considers himself a pocket passer who can extend plays with his legs instead of the other way around.
-Played in pro-style offense up until last year
-Coach Kiffin and CNS both played a large role in his commitment.
-Works with a qb coach to prepare himself to be under center
-His goal for his senior year is to shorten his release and limit turnovers.
I think he has the potential to be a great quarterback. No, he isn't Eason, but I can't wait to see what he can do. Also nice that he will be on the scout team for a few years. He will help us prepare for the next Nick Marshalls and Johnny Manziels.
I like this pickup a lot.

I probably should have summarized Blake Barnett's interview first instead of posting all of those quotes. Didn't occur to me to do the TL;DR version until after I had already submitted.

The best high school quarterback coach he ever saw and he coached against him in high school? That implies that the best he ever saw is somewhere in Alabama and I have a feeling he may be talking about that idiot David morris that's always on the radio in Mobile. I know Coker went to his camp last month. If that's the case, he should be shot in the face repeatedly and right away for such foolishness.

Often, a recruit makes a commitment and shuts down his recruitment. He's given his word to a coach that he'll be joining the program, so there's no need to continue dialogue with other schools.
However, some recruits continue flirting with other schools after pledging to a program. Looking across the landscape in the 2015 class, several committed prospects are still showing attention to other schools.
A 4-star defensive lineman and Alabama commitment still likes Georgia, while the Bulldogs are hoping a 5-star athlete's affection for Auburn doesn't result in him decommitting. Also, a 4-star running back who is earmarked for Florida Atlantic has several other schools in his ear.

Mekhi Brown
Committed to: Alabama
From Georgia, Mekhi Brown is currently committed to Alabama. However, the 4-star defensive end has been quite busy this spring.
He has visited Notre Dame and Indiana, plus camped at Ohio State this month, according to 247Sports. Things must have gone well in Columbus, as he has already scheduled an official visit with the Buckeyes in September.
Alabama doesn't lose many commitments, but Ohio State and Notre Dame are formidable opponents in any recruiting battle.

Jovon Durante
Committed to: West Virginia
Another committed prospect from Miami who is flirtatious is Jovon Durante. The 4-star receiver is a speedster who pledged to West Virginia in July 2013.
However, that has not stopped him from showing love to Alabama, Miami and Auburn, per a report by Mike Singer of CardinalSports.com. The Crimson Tide, Hurricanes and Tigers will all have their say before Durante signs his national letter of intent next February.

Dallas Warmack
Committed to: Alabama
For what it's worth, it's not expected here that Dallas Warmack will sign with a school other than Alabama. However, he is still in contact with a few other programs in the SEC.
The 4-star guard likely will take summer trips to Georgia and South Carolina, according to Andrew Bone of TideSports.com. Auburn and Ole Miss are also in the picture.
Crimson Tide fans shouldn't get too antsy, but Warmack talking with other schools is worth monitoring.

Why any WR would want to play for Auburn is astounding to me

Calvin Ridley
Committed to: Alabama
With his solid route-running skills, Calvin Ridley is a 4-star receiver who will be highly productive in college. Alabama is hoping he flourishes in Tuscaloosa, but the Florida native may have other plans.
Since committing to the Crimson Tide in April, he has visited Tennessee, Louisville and Ohio State, according to 247Sports. It wouldn't be surprising to see him visit a few other schools this summer, which means his pledge to 'Bama isn't as strong as it initially was.

quote:
Terry Godwin
Committed to: Georgia
It would be surprising to see Terry Godwin bolt away from Georgia, but there is a little bit of flirting going on with him and a few other programs.
The 5-star Peach State native recently visited Alabama and Auburn, according to Adam Gorney of Rivals.com. Also, a visit to Los Angeles to scope out USC is possible before the end of this cycle.
However, Godwin seems like a recruit who is just enjoying the process. UGA shouldn't be too concerned.

meh, i dont think he's going anywhere. Just a writer trying to keep us reading.

quote:
Jonathan Ledbetter
Committed to: Alabama
Jonathan Ledbetter is a big 4-star defensive end who committed to Alabama in January. He would be a great fit in Tuscaloosa, but the Crimson Tide must guard him closely.
He is flirting with several other schools, including Georgia, Auburn, USC and Stanford, per Anthony Dasher of UGASports.com. The Bulldogs are the ones to watch with Ledbetter, as he is close friends with 4-star defensive end and UGA pledge Chauncey Rivers, per Dasher's report.
Rivers is doing all he can to bring his friend to Athens with him, and it's apparent Ledbetter is open to the idea.

Based on last year I would agree, but I think Malzahn's offense typically throws it a good bit
