You knew hanging on to Brown would be hard this far out. Let's see how the year plays out before we give up hope. Hate to lose him and Town but you can't sign number one every year. If we can make a run to the playoffs and possibly win the very first ncaa recognized National title, that could go a long way to holding onto these kids and getting the attention of a few more.

I'm not ready to give up hope on Mekhi just yet. Bo Scar flirted with several school while he was committed before signing with us. Right now UGA looks appealing because of the hire of Pruitt. Will that translate to results on the field? I don't know.

I think UGA already has commits at his position or prospects that are about to.

At least with Brown its early and we have other candidates. Literally there is no one out there for us and QB but Stidham.

Any shot with Dillman? His coach seemed real high on Bama when we were recruiting Luatua
ETA: forgot he moved to Texas

Wasnt Dillman the one who had a great sophomore season and a pretty terrible junior season?

I hadn't heard that but could be. I would think he's pretty raw

Dillman is ranked high but you are right he is Texas, I kept thinking he was one of the California guys for some reason. Isn't he the Swedish Immigrant.
Don't get me wrong we metaphorically rape and pillage on the trail. Why is our QB recruiting still like pulling teeth? I mean really good pro style QBs have picked some really shitty programs over us over the past few years. Programs who coaches throw it much less, programs with new coaches, programs about to fire their coaches, programs on probation.
I mean we are in the middle of a dynasty run, with the top coach in America, at a tradition rich program, with a QB who just finished 2nd in the heisman, an offensive coordinator who is a hot name, an a successful offense that is what these guys will be running on Sundays as well.
It doesn't help when dumbasses related to the NFL draft want to take Blake Ive never accomplished anything Bortles over AJ.

You have the #3 pro-style QB by 247 Composite (65 overall) already enrolled this year, plus Coker. You got the #5 pro-style last year (87 overall) plus a pretty damn good one accepting a walk-on (who transferred out.) You had the top pro-style of 2015 committed before changing circumstances led him to commit to the team he grew up cheering for. I think, while y'all got a slow start on the dynasty QB recruiting following the 2009 title, you're still coming about as close to an embarrassment of riches as any program in the country in terms of quantity of quality.
And, let's face it, before Nussmeier came in. Bama hardly had a reputation for potent quarterback-led offenses under Saban. It was decent, but the focus on a punishing ground game, line play, and unyielding defenses pretty much overshadowed the passing game.
