Truly is sad. I know this opinion or whatever will piss a lot of folks off. But something is off, changed, not the same.

I suspect it's Saban feeling like he has to be become a kinder, gentler Nick Saban to avoid staff turnover and making pansies like Dan Enos not want to work for him and it's had the complete opposite effect of what he was hoping and made everybody around him soft.

There are just no answers players wise. My only guess is that the players behind the starters can't get it done either.

UA Opponents now 20-for-20 after that 57-yarder. HALF: Michigan 16, Alabama 14.

It's pretty incredible

The tackling is something that can’t be explained by youth. Our seniors are just as bad at it and even less talented teams are better defensively because they tackle. He’ll compare how army did on defense compared to us. I understand the TOP difference but we got gashed every single time after the first two possessions

I would be totally happy if we played lights out dominant football and lost by 1. I just want to see some grit and tenacious football again. All I’ve heard from Saban for a month now is that we had something to prove. We didn’t finish the way we wanted and we are proving it today. Where is that?

I don't remember Nick ever freaking out in a close game where we were losing. Most of his sideline blowups were against FCS teams and in games where we were up by 20+ points.

The kid from LSU had been all over the place for the previous 2 games - nailed 2 huge 40+ yarders

I mean it's something

I mean. I didn’t know it was a problem one could ever have. How do you even fix that?

22-22 by opposing kickers. Unreal.

The problem with the D is all Golding. Yes I understand we have starters sitting out, playing true freshman, and injuries, but we never seem to have the right play called and always seem like we are trying to recover and having to chase the play down. Who is on the field is only relevant if those players are put out in the right position with the correct play being called for them to have success.

I have yet before this post criticized Golding but he had a month to watch film and prepare for this game. In my opinion he does not
Have what it takes to call a Saban defense.

People were mentioning Steele's name as a Golding replacement, but fAU has given up 24 points to Minnesota in the first half of their game. Gross.
