Did you miss the part where both of their corners are NFL starting talents?

what team have they played that had nfl type receivers and qb, to prove they're corners are nfl type corners, hmm...

I'm projected as an NBA center when I play basketball against my daughter.

We are a few weeks removed from a 4 OT game against a shitty Auburn team,

1. We were on the road in an extremely hostile environment.
2. Our best offensive weapon, who has taken the top off of every defense he’s faced, got ejected in the first quarter. If williams plays we beat them by 2 scores. Maybe more because once we got up by 2 scores their crowd would’ve died down.

And you stopped my quote short where I referenced the other two close calls in November…..that were at home.

I’m not saying we are going to lose. We should win and win by a good margin. However it’s not this huge reach to think this can’t be a game.

Yea, dunno why we are doing this again. It's not defeatist or chicken littleing to suggest if we play the way we played against Florida, A&M, LSU or Auburn that this will be a close football game.

My hope is the Georgia game kind of propelled us past that and we'll see 2 straight complete games from our guys, but I thought maybe we'd done that after Ole Miss and State, too.

Agreed. To act as if there is no way this game can be close is delusional considering how half of our games went this season, especially considering the "yummy rat poison" isn't there this time.

I don't think people realize how huge the loss of Metchie is in the passing game. The other guys are not just going to automatically match him in production. It's foolish to think otherwise.

Just curious? What was your predicted score with Florida? A&M? Auburn?

“Trae’s been doing a really good job just of competing in practice. We’ve had a good amount of good-on-good reps, and the contested catches, him competing really shows. Ja’Corey is also doing a great job of really getting technical with his routes. He’s had some experience playing, obviously, in big moments, big games, so I think he’s been more and more comfortable on the field and it shows.

“Bake has been doing a great job competing as well, been running really good routes. Again, competing. We’ve had some great opportunities to get some good-on-good snaps with this kind of odd schedule for a game. So you can tell Bake’s really competed, made a lot of plays. And Agiye has stepped up as well, ran some good deep routes, is getting more comfortable with some of those routes that take a little bit more timing and more reps.

“I think all those guys are stepping up, and I have all the confidence in the world in them.”

WE don't need them to match Metchie's production. Just catch the damn ball and get 1st downs.

Maybe not that simple. We will see.

Yeah, the SECG performance was such a great surprise because we all knew that we had the pieces there all season long…they just hadn’t come together. Now was that a sign of things to come or just a perfect storm fueled by anti-rat poison? Leading up to the UGA game, there were people saying the team finally found itself in the second half of the Auburn game and that is the spring board for the the postseason where we now get three weeks of valuable prep for a lot of young guys.

You could also say that the only games we’ve played well in all year were games where people were doubting us (Ole Miss, MSU, UGA) and didn’t do so well when the target was on our back. Now we’re back to being #1 with the reigning Heisman winner and the favorite to win. It isn’t crazy to think we could revert back to form against a really inspired team that knows how to win and is playing with house money.

Everything tells me we should win this game comfortably but I also wouldn’t be shocked if this one of our toughest semi-finals either. I also have been horrible with predictions this year so WTF do I know….

LOL exactly.

If we play our A game, we'll win comfortably.

If we play one of the other versions on either side of the ball, it's probably going to be a 4 qtr fight.

The fact is is that we've given up plenty of yards and points to offenses worse than Cincinnati this season, and our offense has been stymied by defenses worse than Cincinnati's this season. We've also shut offenses down that were better than Cincinnati's, and have scored at will against defenses that were better than Cincinnati's.

That's the point. Its hard to tell with this team.

This

James Bradberry was a 2nd round pick CB and Pro Bowler that played at Samford.

Shaq Griffin was 3rd round pick CB and Pro Bowler that played at UCF

Byron Jones was a 1st round pick CB and Pro Bowler that played at UConn

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was a 1st round pick CB and Pro Bowler that played at Tennessee State

AJ Bouye was a pro bowler that played at UCF

The assumption that guys who haven't played college teams with elite WRs aren't really that good is pretty dumb. They guys aren't getting universally discussed as 1st round picks because they put up some good numbers against Tulane and Austin Peay.

Teams seem to attack their nickelback pretty frequently (Arquon Bush)

The last 5 games for them

- 25 receptions on 38 targets
- 6.2 yards per target
- 9.4 yards per reception
- 1 pass break up

Indiana and Notre Dame both attacked him pretty frequently, too

- 5 catches on 9 targets
- 12.6 yards per target
- 22.6 yards per attempt

I told everyone we would beat UGA, we are locked in. Focused. Cincy will fight for their life but our team is on the hunt now. Buckle up

Had no clue against UF. I predicted a tough game against A&M the week before, and unfortunately it came true. Same with Arkansas. Auburn looked so bad against SC, I thought it would be a low scoring but semi-comfortable win.

Question for you. What would you predict Cincinnati's record to be in the SEC West? They're a decent team, but better than Ole Miss? Arkansas? A&M? Nope. Even if Bama plays their C+ game like the Iron Bowl, they'll win this one. Never seen Bama fans so wary of an opponent with such a massive talent gap. I was more concerned about ND last year than this team.

It doesn't really matter. They are playing 1 game not a 3 month battle of attrition.

I think it's possible they could beat all 3 of those teams.

Because it had nothing to do with Cincinnati, to be frank. It had to do with us. If we play to our abilities we win by a ton. If we play like we have multiple times this year then it will be a competitive game.
