If that were the case, one of the Crimson Tide's 10 on-field assistants would have to move off the field, and that isn't happening.
I suppose Charlie could make a play call "suggestion" loudly enough in the booth that it's overheard on the headsets or it could be repeated by an on-field coach in the booth.
