No offense Boz ... But I think y'all could do little better job policing some of the stuff that was said on the board the last few weeks. Some of the things that was said people just calling them stupid, making below the belt comments and etc. just felt like we all can make the atmosphere in Alabama board little better. It's not just moderators but the posters has to buy in as well.
Look at SEC recuiting board.. no trolling allowed and there's generally better conversations.

I understand that getting down 17-0 was embarrassing, but it’s not like it hadn’t happened before.
it wasnt the score .. it was the fact the offense did not have a single first down and had less than 10 yds total

Amen. That moron, among many others is why I told them to go root for the stinking Vols after the game.
They quit on the team before the game even started, when we’re winning the game they want Ty benched and DeBoer fired. After the win they STILL want him fired with no fisking clue how damaging that would be never mind they can’t name a single coach we could get who is better.

We had horrendous field position during that stretch. Plus a focus for the game was likely to avoid turnovers early on like we had in the first game. Once field position changed, things turned around. It was good to see Brooks start fair catching the kickoffs, that helped us not start off on a hole.

Feel free to call it an “opinion” that we needed an almost safety to teach our coach that you don’t throw it out of your own endzone with 15 seconds left in the first half when the defense has been blowing up your Oline all game if you want to. However, I’m going to call those facts…every time
Once you understand the nature of our coach it makes perfect sense what he did. He is aggressive and wanted to give the offense a chance to see if they could make something happen to give the offense a spark. If Georgia takes a playoff because the assumption is that we will run into run the clock out and you hit them with something to get out of the shadow of the end zone where you can open the play book a little. He tried, we failed then he ran the clock out. I understood what he was thinking in that moment. I didn’t like going for it inside of our 20 instead of pointing late in the game but I understand why he did what he did. Say what you want about DeBoer but he believes in these players and he does not quit regardless of the circumstances. I love that about him.

10-4 we will do better.

Did anyone want to fire Coach Bryant after three quarters against Georgia Tech in 1960 when we were down 15-0 and had looked like arse and our starting quarterback was hurt?
Most posters here don’t remember pre-2007 or weren’t Bama fans then. They certainly don’t remember 1960.

Go root for the stinking Vols. They are about your speed and level of football IQ

Imagine that, Bama had a history before Saban.
Let’s see who the real old farts are with a test. We’re going to play in Pasadena on the 100th anniversary of our 1926 Rose Bowl win over Washington. Why is that still the most important and significant victory and moment in our football history, and in Southern football history as well?

Talking of LA Monroe loss .. doubts were overcome by intense belief that he was going to turn over the program. I was absolutely convinced he would win one NC ... what I had greatest fear was he would bolt in 3 years or less

1 - There was this kid named Paul Bryant who heard the game and decided he wanted to go to Alabama.
2 - It was the first time a team from the Deep South not only played in the Rose Bowl, but won it.

Was not alive then but I remember Perkins and then Curry and Stallings and then the disaster struck. So I was not raised in Alabama. My dad was a Bama fan and that’s how I grew up in south Louisiana. So while Alabama fans from the state may not think about LSU I can promise you from 51 yrs of experience they think about Alabama every day every year. I’ve been holding it down in Louisiana for a long time and no one wants them to be more successful than I do but these newer fans have to realize what we saw was an aberration. If it wasn’t more teams than Alabama would have accomplished what we witnessed.

I was in Denny Apt next to stadium when they threw brick in Curry's office
Actually I might be the minority who liked Curry then

It was deeper than that. We were only 61 years removed from the end of the Civil War, in which the South was, basically, conquered. There were parts of the region that, a generation into the 20th century, were literally like the Third World. The South had a poor self image compared to the rest of the country and needed something it could use to say “We are as good as you are.” And football was something people in this region could do well and was a means to that end.
This may amaze some people given today’s rivalries where everyone hates us, but were you aware that when the Bama team was traveling west to that game via train, at every station in the South, through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, even into Texas there were scores of fans there to cheer the Tide on? We were playing for the entire region. And the entire region celebrated when we won. And Southern football and Alabama football were on the national map.

Most Bama forums consistent of a smaller group of people that attended Alabama and have a smug attitude toward anyone they consider a sidewalk fan who dare be critical of THEIR school. They want positivity at all times, mostly because you haven't earned the right to say anything but that since you are just a fan. These are the people that attack, down vote, and give no positive feedback to anyone that brings good points even if they are true. Their arrogance won't let them.

Or, and hear me out, is exactly what Saban, Smart, Oats, or any other coach who is striving for excellence would do after a win.
We are not coaches or players. We the fans cant strive for excellence in Alabama football. Wanna strive for excellence in your personal life? Great I applaud that.
Complaining on a message board has ZERO effect on the program. Nilch, nada.
Some folks do have legitimate things to discuss about Xs and Os but for people to repeat "fire the coach" for the 155th time this season isnt striving for excellence, its being over emotional and under logical.

It’s always about the same number. Hmm.
Multiple accounts, just being anti-everything. Hate. Hate. Hate. I’m beginning to think this is all being done on purpose (to stir emotions) - there is no way rational people behave like that (with the endless name-calling) in real life unless we have a bunch of psychos on this board.
Yeah, I still believe they are other teams' fans, who were allowed in a some time, and are here to sow division and discontent. We have so few threads, just a couple of fake actors can look like many.
A small glimmer of insight, notice tRant is similar - with some doing it for decades .....
Downvotes seemed to have been on the upswing during the past few months but it has several people concerned. I agree with some, don't be fragile... If votes are important, you better grow a pair in this forum or take a break.

I challenge you to find 1 post of mine indicating that we should fire DeBoer in year 2. Ironically, the post that probably is the closest was when we were down big in the game thread, and I actually say we’re not firing him
“He’s not getting fired. But Byrne needs to tell him there is no chance of an extension and the Michigan job may be a better fit.”
LINK
While I’ve used choice adjectives and adverbs during his bad decisions (terrible, idiotic, moron, etc.), I’ve been very consistent and posted at least twice that I’d give DeBoer at least 3 separate seasons with 3 separate starting QBs before making a final judgement.
It helps to post accurate information when you call a poster out, or it makes you look like you don’t know what you’re talking about. This seems to be a consistent problem for you for some reason.

I agree 10000% on this.
I was just sharing my football knowledge as a fan trying to explain what I saw happening and what I thought could fix things. I always get insulted but man did they really go after me from accusing me of hating a kid I see as one of my own true to my religious beliefs to racism accusations (thought those weren't allow?), etc..
I mean I don't care about the DVs, I actually think they're hilarious. I don't even DV back. Even the insults I could careless because the people insulting me don't even know me and if they did they probably wouldn't be lol. However it just mucks up this place for sports talk. You may not agree with my point but I'm actually discussing in detail and will engage anyone who will join in such a discussion.
Then you have guys who all they want to do is show their misery and insult everyone (not just me, they literally only insult people) and that is just strange and I do feel bad for them.
