Don't. We are going to D them up the way that Houston did, AND BYU is going to come out amped up and nervous sensing that they HAVE to hit threes to stay in things. Yeah, this is a big game for obvious reasons. Our record in S16 games needs to continue to improve, and an E8 trip would be a very successful season regardless if we lost to Duke.
We’ll all be disappointed if we lose this one, but I will still view it as a pretty successful season either way. I mentioned at the beginning of the season that it’s really hard to meet expectations when you come in ranked #2 preseason, but look at what happened to Kansas, or even UNC. I won’t get overly bent out of shape if BYU shoots 45% of 3s and beats us in a close one, but couple that with the loss to UCLA in 2021 and SDSU in 2023 as the favorites and it will be somewhat frustrating. Let’s just run them by 15 points and get ready for Duke instead.

I would love that, and it may happen who knows! This team can fill it up the best of anyone. But defense is always a reason for pause.
I think it’s a nail biter because of our defense, just my feeling. If we can squeak this one out, man I love going against the big dogs. That UCONN game last year was a fricking blast for 35 mins until they pulled away. I want that chance again
