I’m several beers deep so forgive me, but I’m struggling to control my anger with him. Just... dammit, this shouldn’t be so hard. He’s gotta be close to 0% on game critical kicks.

Gotta keep reminding myself he’s a kid filling in for an injured starter who’s doing the best he can... and obviously not a soul on our staff knows how to help/coach/mentor him.

It's not just him. We've basically ruined every kicker for the past 5 years

He’ll never recover from this.

Yea I've tried my hardest to avoid that, and it's been easier considering how bad everything else was, but holy fvck.

Everyone knew he was going to miss that kick. IT WAS THIRTY FVCKIN YARD KICK. How sad is that shite?

George, what in the frick are we doing to our kickers. We've been good enough to overcome them, but fricking hell, they have been awful for years

I honestly believe we could ruin Sebastian Janikowski in his prime.

For all things Saban is good at he ruins and or struggles mightily to sign a kicker worth a hoot. Sitting here watching LSU and Auburn and they kick our asses signing kickers/punters.

Funny you mentioned Janikowski.

They (fsu) while during the time of their dynasty, had a few wide rights along their way against their rival.

Nothing like the Fg attempts we've come to endure however.

Sucks arse, but this wasn't our year.

We play to win titles guys.

Cade Foster called and wanted to remind everyone about the 4 he missed at the cow college in 2013.

Since Nick Saban's first season at Alabama in 2007, Alabama kickers have now missed 101 field goals, the most by any FBS team in that span. That's 8 more than any other team. Joseph Bulovas is the only SEC kicker to miss multiple field goals from 30 yards or closer this season.

I went to watch the last couple minutes on tv cause phone was going dead and I told the man in the office that there was no way he would make it and literally meant it. Had no confidence whatsoever in him making it . Sad

As sad as that is (and not to excuse the kicker), I couldn’t help but think that if we don’t have a 5-yard penalty for yet another false start, that kick squeezes inside the left upright...penalties killed us as well. I somehow felt that when we got screwed by that FG to end the second quarter, it’d be the margin of victory...

This has got to be the least disciplined Bama team I’ve seen in quite some time. In addition to the penalties, our LBs more times than not failed to set the edge and missed their gaps in defending runs. I hope McMillon gets his medical redshirt; we need someone in the middle next year who knows the D and can get the others in the right position...

I’ve just started assuming they will miss every PAT and FG so I won’t be disappointed

Fact: since Saban took over, we are the worst kicking team in FBS and it’s not even close. We’ve missed 8 more kicks than the next worst team. I don’t know what Nick is doing, but change it. It ain’t working.

If he makes that kick I have no confidence we would have stopped AU from driving down and kicking one of their own to win it. Until the last penalty, I thought the miss was probably a blessing.

Either way, that miss was just part of a bushel of mistakes and lost opportunities.

Mac played better than I thought he would despite two killer pick sixes.

Sucks to lose to AU, but we weren’t going to do anything this year we’ve grown to expect or at least hope for.

This year was a tough one relative to the past few, but our run is far from over.

I don’t blame Bulovas, but I’m done with him nonetheless. Hope he never kicks again here. I’m 30 and out of shape and I make that 9/10 times on my fathers grave. It’s a glorified extra point (and he’s missed those too). It’s like getting a ball to the catcher from the mound. It doesn’t have to be a strike, just throw one that he can catch. That’s basically the equivalent of kicking a 30 yard field goal and I knew he would miss it. How much of a mental midget must you be to inspire pessimism in a 30 yard field goal. It hasn’t always been that way. Despite our kicking woes, I knew Griffin would make that 29 yarder in Baton Rouge. I would’ve bet my 401k on it. Bulovas lacks the testicular fortitude to ever be called upon to make a clutch kick, and it sickens me that he’s going to school here for free tbh. I sure hope Reichard works out.

Again, someone explain to me how this has become the fundamental flaw of our program? Seriously, how has it gotten to the point where Alabama, who has th best resources and coaching in the country, pretty much is the worst team in the FBS when it comes to kicking over a 10 year span that correlates with unparalleled success?

IT MAKES NO SENSE

Not only have we recruited good kickers in HS who suddenly couldn’t make one, we whiffed on the Carlson’s who have been making us pay for years.
