Auburns kicker had missed his last 6 kicks of greater than 40 yards
Against bama? 4-4

It just defies belief. What is it about Alabama that turn opposing kickers into Adam Vinatieri and our kickers into Charlie Brown?

Since our FG kicking as sucked dick since the 2011 season with a decent year sprinkled in maybe twice (or we were so good on offense and defense that it didn’t really matter) you got to think it’s coaching/psychology at this point. We recruit top kickers (Buvalos isn’t one) and then crazy Bammers attack them on social media,,, frick I don’t know, but you can’t blame him for the loss. Plenty of blame to go around. Even if he makes it Auburn probably hits one at the end to win it

Sucks to lose to AU, but we weren’t going to do anything this year we’ve grown to expect or at least hope for.

This year was a tough one relative to the past few, but our run is far from over.
Agreed! If you don't have an occasional year like this, you can't fully appreciate the great ones!

Not to mention, Saban just completely whiffed on Daniel Carlson, whose family are Bama through and through. I’ll never understand how he let him get away. Damn shame.

Think we admitted in the past we went for leg strength over accuracy. Not working out too well.

Our kicking camp guru sucks.

Yo Pete.....you're talking about a player that has never played a meaningful down of football in his 5 years at Bama. The ONLY reason he got the start was because those behind are really bad and you saw that in all 12 games. You have 6 ILB that aren't elite...hell they're not even good.

what in the frick are we doing to our kickers.

Maybe the atmosphere and style of coaching is too intense for the psyches of the kickers. It almost has to be something we are doing wrong.

Look, I had anxiety problems throughout my high school and brief college athletic career. Then it rolled over into my work life.

After about 3 years of work I went to a doctor and he gave me pills. I haven't been anxious about anything since.

The moral of the story is we need to pump our kickers full of pills.

Wonder how much importance Saban places on kickers? Having such poor kickers for so long is inexplicable for a perfectionist like a Coach Saban. Doesn't add up.

I was as mad as anyone last night regarding the missed kick, but I just hate to see him feel like he has to post an apology over a missed kick he tried to make. No one felt worse than him I’m sure. It wasn’t like he missed it intentionally. At the end of the day, it’s just a game. He doesn’t owe me or anyone else an apology as far as I’m concerned.

I think Will Reichard is that dude. Our injury curse just got him too and then he rushed back only to re-injure himself. He will be a solid kicker for the next three years. Hopefully they will grant him a medical redshirt and he gets four.

Joseph is all class taking responsibility for the miss however their were several other critical errors by our team before the FG & 1 other in the last minute of the game.
AU still had 2 min + to win regardless if he ties the game up.

Exactly. You won't see me giving a particular player crap. I generally put all the blame on the coaches. Which is where I believe this loss belongs to. At the end of the day it's the coaches job to instill discipline and correcting issues.

He wasn't the reason we lost. Allowing a horrendous Auburn offense to score 34 points and penalties are the reason for this loss.

What's really telling, his pinned tweet at the top of the page shows him kicking a 70 yarder
