Player definitely have an impact on hires, a lot of support for Locks.

Hell, Arizona's best player got their administration to nix their deal with Ken Niumatalolo because "he didn't come to Arizona to run the triple option".

Bama just isn't that weak willed...

He’s not a QB coach either. If we go with Locks as OC they will need to hire a QB coach.

I get your point, but why should we be hiring a guy and hoping it works out? There's really no reason we shouldn't hire a guy who has shown he is capable of putting a good offense on the field.

And had talent in the 100s, too. Oh, right. I forgot. Most folks on this website don't believe anyone can progress or develop over time. Everyone's ability to do/play/coach is static.

Dumbasses.

Fwiw, my top three are Fisch, Enos & Locks. I really like Fisch's credentials.

Btw, there is a stickied coaching search thread.

Alabama shouldn't be hiring coordinators in the hope that they have developed. They should be proven. JMO.

Bama just hired a defensive coordinator from UTSA who had a top 5 defense nationally.

Where you coach is not an excuse, especially with a trove of DC talent in your backyard...

So the recruiting area he was hired at Bama for isn't good?

Because that's the same players he was pulling from DC...

When has Maryland been known for their offense or anything else?

Do you really think we'd be "hoping" about the man who was just our Co-OC for a year and an offensive analyst for us before that? Saban is still in the dark about his ability?

It baffles me that internet fans think that their knowledge level of a situation is the same as those involved, men who've spent countless hours in multiple years working together. None of us know shite.

Are you insinuating that Maryland has the same ability to attract prospects as Alabama?

You posted this pre-Auburn. You acting like everyone else is moronic and you are a football savant is kind of silly (which is basically your go to move in a disagreement). You called everyone who expressed some doubt about the Auburn game all sorts of names.

I honestly don't get it, and this is not an insult to anyone. I just really don't get so many Bama fans fear of auburn.

Why do you fear a team that is 2-2 against the top-25 teams it's played?

Why do you fear a team that has lost 18 games in the last 3.8 years?

Why do you fear a team with one healthy running back?

Why do you fear a team with a statue at QB?

Why do you fear a team who, when they faced a D kind of close to ours, they got 2 FGs in their first 3 drives and then went 11 consecutive drives without points?

Why do you fear a team that has maybe the worst Kickoff and punt coverage units in the history of human endeavor?

Why do you fear a team who doesn't have a WR who'd crack our 2 deep?

Why do you fear a team whose coaching staff has proven themselves unable to make halftime adjustments?

Why do you fear a team with a Defensive Coordinator who was told to leave Tuscaloosa, went to LSU for one year and was told to leave, and has never beaten Bama?

Why do you fear a team who lost to a team we beat?

According to the S&P advanced statistics, Bama is 12 spots better on Offense, 3 spots better on Defense, and 29 spots better on Special teams.

Bama's weaknesses: Missing starters/depth at LB

Auburn's weaknesses: QB can't run, WR corps is pedestrian overall, One healthy Running back, the worst coverage units on Bama's schedule, Gus Malzhan is their head coach.

And you queermos are afraid of this team cause they beat a Georgia team to brought their D game? Hell, Georgia TWICE turned the ball over inside their own 20 yard line in the first half, giving auburn 14 points. Additionally, GA doesn't have a functioning passing attack. We do. And we have the Ace in the Hole of a Running QB.

And so, I repeat. I just don't get it.

Bama by 2+ TDs.

I know that Saban has had multiple chances to put him in that role already and hasn't done it. If it were a slam dunk why would that be the case?
