Any benefit of the doubt Alabama had established over Saban's tenure is gone. Lots of schmucks lining up to twist the knife after 17 yrs of frustration.

My bad

But to be fair, when Milroe talks like this it's an auto-loss

It’s basically a complete start from scratch. I hope Coach is ready to be on the grind because every single thing the Tide of 2025 does will matter. Since SOS, and ranked wins don’t.

Us being left out was the media getting their pound of flesh over the FSU controversy last year. No doubt so many people hate our program. They are out for blood.

It's a nice non playoff bowl. Good prep for next year's offense. About best case scenario at this point.

Exactly this. There is a lot of Bama derangement syndrome out there in the public and in the media and the committee allowed it to bleed into their room. By no objective measure should SMU have been selected over Bama.

Why didn’t we get the best of the available bowl games? This is the worst bowl game Alabama’s been in since the 2007 Independence bowl.

SMU will get hammered by Penn State. The committee was influenced by ESPN’s outright hatred of Alabama.

Yes I’d like to know the reason South Carolina got the Citrus and we got the Outback.

The way college athletics have gone and are trending now has almost made me not want to watch anymore. It’s so blatantly corrupt and biased.

I'm just not excited about this.... Knowing that this could have been avoided if we'd just beaten OU.

What happens if the backup QBs plays and we still look like the same team? What will the excuse be them?

That we’re not as good and talented as some of our fans think and we need to hit the portal and the recruiting trail.

Well a good place to start would the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida. Especially Alabama. I know you have to build relationships with people but it’s time to get it done. We have enough alumni in places throughout the south that have enough pull to get DeBoer in the door. If we don’t recruit our own backyard, we will soon be in the market for another coach and there will be hell to pay in the future
