I’m very interested to see how the ILB position is developed under Steele/Bala vs Golding.

In my opinion they already looked much improved in just the Spring game. VERY excited to see how they continue to develop over the next 3 months!

Bala had rave reviews coming from people close to the program this Spring. Rodney Orr, Drew D, and others had really good things to say about him. We've missed on a few assistant hires in recent years (as every head coach does occasionally), but very early indications are that Bala should be very good.

I’m excited about our ILB’s. Marshall and Lawson look great.

I’d still like to know why Freeze didn’t bring him to auburn after how much he raved about him.

It’s obvious This board too liberal for me. Not enough real men on here to discuss different opinions. This is a kiss a** board where all is peachy and don’t say anything that mods don’t agree with. This is how we got Biden!

I'll say this once so we're all on the same page.

Ok?

This thread is not for political discussion. It is to discuss the comings and goings of our football program. If you want to bring politics into a discussion about one of our players then start a new thread.

You'll find the majority of this board is as conservative as it comes. We just don't want it fricking up our football talk.

Got it?

We really need a good secondary showing this season.

If Downs is what we think he can be, we should be in good shape. We know we have 2 great corners.

Do we? I feel good about Kool Aid. Arnold is promising but I don't know if he's a sure thing.

I agree he hasn’t proven he’s great, so I shouldn’t have said “we know we have”. Instead I should have said, “I believe”.

Hell I remember some years where we thought we had a great CB coming back but they didn't pan out. I don't expect that to be the case with Kool Aid but I'm not ready to count on anything from this team yet. Outside of the kicker, I don't really have a lot of confidence in my roster forecasting.

Adding the two transfers will help with depth. Still pissed at Eli Ricks for leaving. Talk about a moronic decision.

The freshman Ricks looks promising but I heard some chatter that he wasn't ready to contribute much this year. Yall heard anything on him?

Agreed. He should be one of those that plays on Sundays. We just need to see it first.

The two transfers in the secondary are being brought in to compete for starting jobs. That has been the case with all transfers we've brought in.

Kool-aid was the player who escorted Trey Amos around campus. I could be wrong but that seems to signal to me the coaching staff sees Amos as a potential starter first and foremost. They could've had Terrion or some other less established DB show him around if they see him solely as a guy to add to depth.

All it takes to change a season is one great player going down to injury
