QB ratings not so great. They had a lot of time in the pocket though on most throws. I think our WRs just gotta catch the ball more consistently. We ran the ball well with white starters both at over 5ypc

From the looks of it we will have a really good running attack. There is maybe 3 teams who could stand us up, we need to have good QB play in those games. Basically.

I agree. We will need some big catches in some games, but I think having the rpo with Milroe and even Ty gives us a chance in every game. I do think the DBs are in better position this season all around. There were a lot of contested balls.

Assuming we’ll see a three headed group with Jase Roydell and Justice like the 2019 one

None of them are ready, still have summer and fall camp though.

Milroe was getting worked but a good portion of that is on him and remember we didn’t have Braswell or Turner out there. LT would’ve been on full internet blast if he had to deal with the premier pass rushers.

Benson is legit, Burton is baffling. He gets open but never seems to be where the QB expects him to be. Not sure if he’s running sloppy routes or if the throws are just inconsistent.
I do worry that the lack of a consistent deep passing touch from the QBs is going to be a problem against elite defenses because they’ll take away the easy short stuff we were doing today.

I think we are much improved at RB.

I would say better on the OL. RBs are the same. Gibbs is legit, but we couldn’t block for shite.
Would have liked to see Hayes on the first team.

Gibbs was misused last year.
He’s not a feature guy, he should’ve been in the Kenyan Drake/Josh Jacobs role as a complement to a power feature guy but I don’t think Jace or Roydell were really all the way back from an explosiveness standpoint so they overused Gibbs and he wore down.
If I were drafting guys I’d go:
Haynes
Miller
Gibbs
Jace (2023)
Roydell (2023)
Jace (2022)
Roydell (2022)

I can't wait to see how the quarterbacks develop over the summer.
Ty Simpson just needs to work on a shorter release & sliding up in the pocket.
Milroe needs to continue working on touch and reading defenses.
We have an opportunity to field a really good defense.
#28 Justin Jefferson needs to be on the field in like a third down role or something. He's fast and always around the ball. (Reminds me of a smaller Christian Harris)
#21 Jake Pope will eventually find away to get on the field and I'm not talking on special teams. He just knows how to play football. (SUPER SMART)
#84 Amari Niblack has tons of first round potential!
#82 Jalen Hale stood out whenever they gave him opportunities.
#87 Danny Lewis played really well today and that kind a surprised me.
It's plenty of others that stood out but I just wanted to put these guys names out there.

That's much better than how Golding fared at Ole Miss. The Ole Miss defense gave up...1,196 yards in their Spring game!!!
