Well unless we've signed another huge black guy that can throw the shite out of a ball, I'd assume it's Milroe

I mean, the dude throwing it is also wearing a #4 jersey, so not sure how anyone could think it's someone other than Milroe

Coach Saban started and ended his press conference today with comments about Mal Moore, who died 10 years ago today.
quote:

March 30, 2013: Mal Moore died in Durham, N.C. He was 73.

“Mal was the most selfless person I think I ever met.” – Nick Saban

On this day, 10 years ago, we lost the legendary Mal Moore. Coach Moore was an incredible leader and an even better man. He had a huge influence on me as a young AD, and I have so much love and respect for him. They don’t come any better than Coach Moore.

Good Lord.

Where does the time go?

I could have sworn Mal passed in like 2019.

Saban likes where Alabama offense is heading after fifth practice (BOL)

quote:

Now with a new offensive coordinator in Tommy Rees, could Saban’s want become reality?

“I think what we did last year is what we needed to do to try to win, so I’m not being critical of what we did last year,” Saban said. “We didn’t run the ball well enough last year, but we featured the players that we had. Bryce was an outstanding player, and we wanted to have him do what he could do.

“But I think if we have better balance, I think it’ll take a little pressure off the quarterback. I think the offensive line has done a good job so far. I like where we’re heading and what we’re doing. I think the scheme that we have to run the ball is well tied together. Hopefully, between that and play-action passes, we can make a few more explosive plays and not just rely on dropping back all the time. I think that would be very helpful.”

Steele is a big upgrade at defensive coordinator. He might not be the young and upcoming guy, but he has ball players that hit and play old school physical. He’s better than Golding. Might not be the recruiter that Golding was, but hell, who wants to be a five star and leave a fifth round pick

Per my source he will not be a position coach per se and will be able to observe all things. Our current DB coach is also the safeties coach.

Is it just me, or has there be a lack of information coming out of this spring camp? For as many key position battles as the 2023 team has, there’s not much coverage to this point.

It appears the information coming out dried up once Pete left. Guess we know who was talking to the media off the record from the staff.

Honestly it's been this way since Saban was able to lock things down during covid. He loved it so much he kept doing it. Charlie Potter has been complaining about it for the past 2 years.

Jalen Milroe (allegedly) delivers an absolute dime to Ja'Corey Brooks in practice.

I say "allegedly" because the QB is too far away from the camera. Beautiful throw though to the corner of the endzone. Kool-Aid had good coverage.
