I want to be optimistic, but we play like shite on the road. We will probably squeak out a win against LSU, but Kiffin is a better play caller and wants it way more.

Kiffin is a heck of a gameplanner and playcaller but his team still depends on the run and always have shown we stop that most of the time.

My fear about that game is Kiffin have two weeks to plan for us.

The reality is if we had a better OC we would beat each team regardless of what our defense does by at least 3 touchdowns.

I feel (decently) good about making it to Atlanta. No clue after that. I wouldn’t be surprised if we won it all but I’m not going to be surprised if we drop another game.

I’d really like to win a Natty with Bryce.

Lowest scoring offense in the NFL.

Honestly, I don't see what's so creative about a WR pass. It's usually a desperation tool for teams that can't score. Bama is the #4 scoring team in the country.

The defensive secondary is a MUCH bigger problem than BOB.

Yet could scheme a TD pass from inside the 5 yard line without needing his QB to improvise and create something on his own.

As I said Matt Canada sucks and still can at least do that.

Well when we had a first round talent sitting, why wouldn't there be issues?

In the end every secondary will struggle against that rocky top offense.

Which is why you need your offense to be consistent and not just depend on a QB and RB to make it up as they go.

Our offense has no identity at all outside of our QB. It seems we go into games without a real plan. I see Young always looking at the sidelines for the call. I am beginning to wonder is BOB calling it on the fly. Like he looks down to see what he thinks the defense is going to do , calls some play, and hopes it works. It just seems Young is always waiting to get the play. Hence why I think we continually see passes overthrown, under thrown, and WR running wrong routes. The offense never seems to come into a game with any rhythm or prepared on what to expect.

Kiffin will come up with a game plan and I would wager he has been working on one all season. This game for Kiffin against us is his super bowl/ playoff. It would be a huge win for Ole Miss and a bigger one for Kiffin because I truly believe he wants the UA job after Saban.

LSU on the road with the way they are starting to come together will not be easy and never is for a night game.

We have the talent on both sides of the ball to win it all but even if we fix the poor execution and eliminate the penalties the staff has to put the players in situation to win by making the right calls on both sides of the ball.

I am going to get downvoted here, but I think we lose to LSU. They're peaking, we're not. We will attempt to mush rush again and get little pressure, and like a number QBs before him, Daniels will have the greatest passing game of his collegiate career against us.

Our offense ended on a sour note against MSU, doing very little in the second half. I see no reason to be optimistic about them outside of Young and Gibbs.

Saban is too stubborn to make major changes, even with two weeks to prepare. We will continue to do what we've done all season and hope that it all works out and we out-talent our opponents.

Yes Saban is to stubborn. I can’t wait until we move on from this loser.

Since 2007, Alabama vs. LSU Has Been College Football's Best Matchup: All Things CW (SI)

A normal meeting between the Crimson Tide and Tigers means elite talent, national-title implications on the line, and a crazed fan base that will never forgive Nick Saban.

Four Crimson Tide Players Named to Semifinalist Lists for Bednarik, Maxwell Awards

Anderson Jr. and McKinstry for the Bednarik with Gibbs and Bryce Young on the Maxwell

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama had two players apiece selected as semifinalists for the Bednarik and Maxwell awards, the Maxwell Football Club announced on Tuesday morning.

Linebacker Will Anderson Jr. and defensive back Kool-Aid McKinstry were part of a list of 20 semifinalists for the Bednarik Award. Former Crimson Tide standouts Minkah Fitzpatrick (2017) and Jonathan Allen (2016) have each laid claim to the Bednarik. The award is presented annually to the top defensive player in college football as chosen by the Maxwell Football Club.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs and quarterback Bryce Young were named semifinalists for the Maxwell Award, part of a 20-player group of semifinalists. Alabama has had five Maxwell winners, including Young (2021) a season ago. The Tide's current signal-caller is joined by DeVonta Smith (2020), Tua Tagovailoa (2018), Derrick Henry (2015) and AJ McCarron (2013) to make up UA's list of previous winners. The Maxwell is presented each season by the Maxwell Football Club to the College Football Player of the Year.

Both lists will announce a group of three finalists on Nov. 20. The winner for both the Bednarik and Maxwell will be announced on Dec. 8 as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
