Saban knows it’s going to be Milroe but he obviously can’t say that. Poor Jumbo will have to plan for both QBs.

No. Young has been practicing all week. He been throwing. If no set back I expect him to play

Young has practiced but not been throwing according to Saban. That’s not really practice for a QB. I expect to see Jalen start and Young only come in if necessary. If we can sneak a win this week and get Bryce ready to roll for a top 10 Tennessee game, that’s ideal.

You remove it because it's an outlier. How many 81 yard runs have we had in the past 5 years? the answer is not many. It's not that it doesn't fit the narrative, it's that it's an anomaly. If we're counting on someone to take it 80 yards to the house every week, we're up shite creek.

If I'm removing every run over 20 or 25 or 30 yards, that's massaging the numbers to prove a point. If I remove one black swan event, it's normalizing the statistics in a small sample size.

70+ yard runs do seem to be an emerging thing.

7.39 YPA through 5 games is pretty damn promising.

They have 15 5-stars on the DL; if they all decide to come of age in this game, we might have a problem. Barring that we roll. Milroe or Bryce, don’t matter.

As long as Milroe knows that he ain’t Bryce and he don’t have to try and be Bryce we will be just fine. He’s gonna have to get some ugly yards in key situations with his feet to be successful tho, but so be it. Just got a ticket last minute RMFT

No. 1/1 Alabama Holds Off Texas A&M, 24-20

Box score

Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban Said
"I think the fans were great, I think the fans probably had as much to do with us winning the game as anything. I think the atmosphere they created certainly kept the energy level up with our players, but we did a lot of things that were not winning football. (We had) penalties, four turnovers, didn't take advantage of opportunities in the red zone, came up empty handed a couple of times whether we missed a field goal, didn't score a touchdown, whatever it might be. So, we have a lot of things that we can work on. We got a lot of things we need to improve on. I think everybody's got to make a choice and decision that they're going to do the things they need to do to play the best that they can play and be the best player that they can be. That was not our best football out there tonight. When you don't have your quarterback playing and the second team guy has got to play, everybody has to play better. Everybody on offense has to play better, everybody on defense has to play better. Jalen (Milroe) did some good things, but he obviously had a couple of turnovers. He's going to live and learn, and we're going to live and learn with him. And we'll just see what kind of progress Bryce makes for the next week. But we're going to play a really good team next week on the road and certainly have to play a lot better to have any chance of being successful."
