Biggest ACC game of the year. Just pathetic that Clemson gets to cruise like this. Can y’all imagine a world where playing NC State at home is our biggest “test” of the year?

The main issue I have with the ACC isn't that NC State might be their 2nd best team. It's that NC State would be like the 9th or 10th most talented team in the SEC. Clemson's schedule is like if we got to play Vandy, Mizzou, and South Carolina twice, plus one game against each of Arkansas and Kentucky. Every year. 6 equivalents of more Utah State or ULM type opponents and 2 teams that could give us a few headaches but don't have the talent to consistently hang with us.

Also, looks like Harrell and Anderson are full participants.

People are questioning whether Milroe is a good passer, but the play call with Harrell in the lineup is just, 5-step drop, throw it as far as you can.

Olin Buchanan of TexasAgs, said Max has a somewhat serious thumb injury on his throwing hand that'll keep him out for multiple weeks: WJOX Clip

ETA: Jimbo said again today that he's "day-to-day," which is true...for all of us

For what it's worth, there has been chatter that Max suffered a serious injuries and king might not get nod but third string qb Weisman or whatever might get nod

Bama has been releasing video of the practicing and not showing qbs on purpose.

You can see BY in the corner of a still from the video yesterday, so he's definitely practicing!

if I am a betting man it will be Milroe with Bryce in the wings if he is needed. If not then Milroe gets a lot of reps and assuming we get a decent lead then the true freshman plays

This is what I think as well. If needed Bryce will play but as long as Milroe can get the job done Bryce will be held out until the UT game. And I think Milroe will do fine.

I am confused as this is the first thing I have said and I have no issues with either and never have.

Among the Games of College Football, Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher Continue to Play Chess (SI)

While the offseason spat might have seemingly been resolved, the game between the coaching duo is far from over.

I hate garbage like that trying to stir the pot. That is what Saban was upset about the other day. Complaining how the press is making crap up and making it sound like he said he was keeping it secret from Jimbo.

I understand why Saban hates the press. They create news that is not there.

From the other day Saban:

quote:

Again, I don't talk to Jimbo [Fisher] on a regular basis but I'll call him and tell him right after this conference if you want me to. I mean, you guys think I'm going to tell you what we're going to do with our offense and our team? You might as well make it up. I saw today where there's headlines in the paper where I'm going to keep it a secret what we're going to do with Bryce [Young]. It sounded like me making that statement! I've never said that. But it was there in black and white... So you can make up whatever you want to make up.

‘Wishbone Boys’ Alabama football documentary now available on DVD (al.com)

“The Wishbone Boys” tells the story of Paul “Bear” Bryant and his Crimson Tide’s championship run through the 1970s, when they rode the wishbone triple-option offense to three national championships and nine SEC championships in an 11-year period from 1971-81.

“The Wishbone Boys” retails for $34.99 and is available for purchase at wishboneboys.com. A companion book, written by Card with Robert Wray, is available via Amazon.com and at other booksellers.

CBS Sports piece on the mental health program at Bama:

quote:

@AlabamaFTBL places an emphasis on mental health, which has helped players like QB @_bryce_young:

"Just having those resources and knowing that this isn't a place where I'll get judged for it. ... You're not gonna be looked at as differently. ... It's okay to not be okay."
