Seven Alabama Players Poised for a Sophomore Surge (SI)

Bryce Young and Will Anderson Jr. both had huge sophomore seasons last year. Here's a look at who could follow in their footsteps for the Crimson Tide.

I like both players but how Jojo is thought by someone poised to have a big sophomore year before Leary is beyond me. I actually thought Leary looked to be a superior prospect coming out of high school over Jojo as well.

This has the potential to be a really good team even compared to other Saban squads. But last year we really didn’t beat many power-5 teams like we should have

Just a random thought on a Wednesday evening.

I got on Twitter and saw Nick Saban trending, so I had to check it out. Probably a fourth of the comments and sub-topics were about Georgia and Kirby.

We’re we this bad and delusional after Nick won his first championship?

Georgia fans are insufferable. At least, LSU fans have experienced championships in this century, so I tolerate their delusion.

And, did Kirby lie about a bet with Nick at the golf tournament?

Kirby reminds me of Eddie Haskell, nice and polite to parents and adults, then goes behind their backs to punk their kids. He is second for Phat Phil in my dislike of rival coaches.

Roll Tide forever!

And the rest is history…

Crimson Tide Quote of the Day
"I left Texas A&M because my school called me. Mama called, and when Mama calls, then you just have to come running." On why he had to leave A&M with six years left on his contract. – Paul W. “Bear” Bryant

my thoughts on the UGA championship...

Bama just beat the shite outta them a month prior in the SEC champ game.. then Bama lost their 2 top WR's (in 2022 this is a huge deal .. its not 1982 anymore)

UGA also had what 13-14 people drafted off of that team in this past NFL draft

if i were a UGA fan i would be hanging on to that Chip with dear life because Bama is returning with the best DE and best QB in college football next year

+ the GOAT HC who just lost to one of his former assistants for the first time last season

And our starting RB that created all the problems in the passing game for opposing defenses. Bama got beat by the injury bug.

Pretty much all this. The roles between the two could easily flip. Now they are the defending champion who lost a metric ton of high-end NFL prospects. I could very easily see them winning ugly like we did much of last year.

TIL that Utah State, our opening opponent, finished the season ranked last year. The third time they've done so since 2012
