Expect Saturday to be a slop fest if this is the speech we are hearing.

frick
How many times has he said this now? It’s like once every 2-3 games.

this team just doesn't seem to have the "Team" thing; maybe it's the youth of the group or it's the result of all of the last class not getting to play because of the Covid/All SEC schedule? So with in essence there were 2 freshman classes vying for time this season... and therefore, 2 freshman classes having hurt feelings and not buying into the process needed to Create Value for themselves and their futures..
Listening to Devonta last year and his HT acceptance speech... and Najee... if you can't understand what is needed to put the process and the team ahead of "You".. well, best of luck (I hear Bo's bus ranting in my head)

We’ve recruited too many pussies the last few years. All there is to it.

be that as it may, we are in a great position to win out the reg season. What happens if we play Georgia is a toss up, but I like our chances in a close game. This team inarguably has a lot of fight in it, and I'm excited to see how they finish.

Which is something uga with their pitiful schedule has no idea about.
I've been thinking they've already peaked, and these next three weeks of pure rat poison could easily set them up for a TKO
However... I wouldn't bet a wooden nickel on it.

I've wondered about the "Team" vs me thing with this team. It seems like a lot of excessive celebrations on TD's and stuff, kinda like "Look at me !!" instead of acting like you've been there before. Or maybe I'm just an old fart lol

Saban just said JoJo Earle will be out 2-3 weeks while Roydell Williams is out for the remainder of the year.

Saban on practice this week: "Yesterday was OK. Today, we've got a lot of guys that had the 'poor me's, whatever that means. You get into your feelings and you don't do things the way you need to do them to have success, and when you get that way, you don't create good habits."
I spoke on this before..the young players and a few older are not happy with playing time..Some have even checked out. (Mostly young guys)The injury at RB helped some play..but others are not practicing hard as they some feel they won't get playing time even if they do..Just not a great dynamic with this team. Lots of just walking through waiting to hit the portal at the end of the year. The Starters are doing well for the most part from all I have heard..its the others who are suppose to be preparing them for Arky. We have some frustrated guys and it spread like cancer..

This sounds like the player version of the 2018 coaching staff.

Why did we recruit a bunch of dudes who are such mentally fragile children that they're ready to cut and run after not getting a ton of playing time as freshmen at a top 3 program in the country? The glaring character misevaluations appeared to have been fixed, but I guess not.

well it seems as tho the staff is more than willing to let them go. i get it. if you dont grasp taking pride in your performance, even when you're the low man on the totem pole. you cant be trusted to perform late in the 4th qtr of a tight bigtime high pressure game.

I believe part of it was the recruiting restrictions due to Covid. Remember this class had little to no in-person recruiting and evaluation. No chances for the staff to sit down in-home and really get a read on each recruits character and attitude. Probably made evaluations much more hit or miss.

read where Saban said teams tend to pick on our defensive back who is furthest from the Ala bench, because he is the last one to get the play call. Just a part of todays trick em football.
