Not complaining but in the first half it seemed several times Young left the pocket and had room to run but was patient and threw the ball. He could have racked up some yardage on the ground.

Had the same observation but ihe was probably told not to run unless he absolutely had to

Really bad news regarding Allen. I thought we looked better with him in there. Hate it for the young man.

Glad to hear Henry will be okay. He is very fast and hits hard.

It really is a shame because Allen is a hard working kid who has improved each year. I think this is second or third long term injury he has faced since enrolling too. I believe he has eligibility remaining if he wanted to return after healing up

Allen is a RS-Sr, with the covid year, he has one more (2022) to play.
From Rolltide.com Bio - " knee injury prior to the 2018 campaign that sidelined him all season ... granted a medical redshirt."

So 2018 (redshirt med)

Nice breakdown from a miami fan. He has some high praise for our pass protection schemes.

The only silver lining on the Allen injury is that we may get him back in ‘22. Defense could be even more nasty next year, if that’s possible.

I wonder what the odds are we could get him back for a playoff run in January. If he has a killer playoffs he might go pro but not sure if he can get back by then.

That could mean back next year. Doesn’t really mean much.

in the presser, both Phil and Will looked a bit surprised at the idea Chris was done for the year.... think they were saying they think he will be back this year... he does have another year to play; but never know what these kids think when their agents start whispering in their ear... didnt work out for Moses... but for others it did

I'm thinking that Harris and To'o To'o both leave, along with Jobe and Battle, Mathis (and had Allen scheduled for leaving too) and if anyone else who are eligible have great years...they will head out too; seems to be the Bama norm.

Saban on Chris Allen (from Suttles):

Saban: Chris Allen has a foot fracture that will require surgery and he's most likely out for year.

How good is Cameron Latu? Is it way too early to say that he's a big weapon for us? We saw how fast he is in the spring game, and he looked like a physical beast on Saturday, tossing guys aside like they were high school players.

He's athletically one of the best we have had under Saban. I think we will have to see how he holds up as a blocker.
