Do you guys believe that the days of good QB depth is over? With transfers, I really believe it is

The tight ends will be a bigger part of the passing game, especially early on. Billingsley and Latu are talented players. Also have to believe that the running backs will be involved like always. Trey Sanders is a terrific receiver. I think that the receivers will become more and more involved as the season evolves.

Yep and with the portal AND NIL, I see it happening at every position. That’s why I want players like Braswell and Smith to get PT bc I can see guys leaving if they not getting a chance to play much early on

Maybe. That group recall scored 11 touchdowns. They were deep too. My questions would be (A) is there a
Jonathan Allen up front? and (B) is there an Eddie Jackson, centerfielder type safety in the back end?

I think we're gonna have a dang good team. We'll see when we play Miami in Atlanta, @Florida and especially @Texas A&M.

Allen and Jackson were proven commodities. But I think that a guy like Tim Smith could end up being a real force this year if he starts like I think he should. Also have to believe that Brian Branch is going to be a break out player in the secondary. LaBryan Ray could be a force if he could get healthy. I also think this current linebacking corps could give the 2016 group a run for their money. That group was excellent with Reuben Foster, Rashaan Evans, Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson.

My gosh, our QB, sure as hell gives me confidence. The young man, killed the interview.

I have to wonder if this years atm is better than last years. I just watched them against UF and while Jimbo called this a huge win it was far from impressive. One thing that stood out was his poor clock management.

"Six Alabama players with chance to step up in Saturday's scrimmage" might've been better wording.

I think it would be a mistake to let a guy like Smith get away. I’m not saying we need to play players to appease their want to get PT, but with Smith I find it hard to believe the coaches don’t see enough to make sure he’s getting on the field as much as possible

Almost every fan I talk to seems to agree that Smith is too disruptive and effective at controlling the LoS to not have him on the field A LOT. Hopefully whatever has held him back in the past has been remedied and we continue to see him maul opposing OLs

I agree. I don’t particularly like to bash a player so to speak but Smith needs to be playing way more than Dale …IMO Obviously

247 Sports' Presason True Freshman All-American Team for 2021

We sign the highest rated recruiting class of all time and 247 doesn't have us with a single true freshman in the preseason all american list. And honestly? I can't disagree. This team has gotten so heavy with talent I don't really see any of them getting heavy playing time unless Latham or Kool-Aid can break through into the starting lineup. If the offense can gel quickly and Golding doesn't mess it up, it could be another fun year.
