Edwards was always a bit or a strange take with the RB numbers. Maybe not a strange take, but it was interesting that he signed up for it.

Saw him live in HS and immediately knew he’d have trouble at Bama due to speed. He looks the part pregame in tshirt and shorts. Ridiculously well put together. In the game though he had trouble separating and was ran down by a guy that I knew wasn’t very fast at all.

Hope he finds a better fit and has a great career.

ABC 33/40 anchor Christopher Sign passes away

Those are all things he learned while he was at the University of Alabama playing football for Coach Gene Stallings. Chris often gave Coach Stallings credit for getting him into the television news business.

Can’t wait to see this season. We have an offense with a lot of new weapons, and a defense that should finally be Elite for the first time in a while. When I say Elite i mean top 5 in the country.

Name 5 better last season? ohio?...They were schitt.Clemson? Did you watch them? Oklahoma?Improved somewhat and will be MUCH better this year. But they were not as good as The Tide...ND?..I dont think so. Ga?...Maybe. Maybe not. A+M? Not last year but with 10 starters back this year will make them a force again. UC and Iowa ST....They dont face the athleticism or QB play Alabama does. Oregon?...NO...Texas?
USC?..lol....Utah?...They may have had 2 kids on that side of the ball who would have played for Alabama...THE U? Nope...So who would keep The Tide from being a Top 5 Defense last year?

Cam Newton again took No. 1 reps and Mac Jones was solidly the No. 2, but there was a period in practice where Jones was getting a lot of attention and I don't think Newton loved it. Was standing off by himself.

Jones was picked off twice in one late period, but Hightower made a ridiculous play on one, and the other was tipped. Newton picked off in 7 on 7. Jones still won the day. His decision-making is so much quicker.

Waiting on Cam Newton for a post-practice Zoom call. We were told he was going to shower up prior to the session. Didn't look real enthusiastic during practice on Tuesday as Mac Jones took lion's share of reps. Will be interesting to hear the tenor of Cam's comments today.

Lot of fun stuff packed into 3 tweets. Supposedly Belichick is already throwing complicated coverages at Mac in practice
