There is also smoke on Twitter, Bama247, and Ohio State Boards about the game being pushed back a week. Every place says that the rumor originated from one of the other mediums

They are claiming Clemson stopped testing last Tuesday and magically infected ONLY defensive players for Ohio State.

Probably will help with Fields injury if it gets push back, but it will also help out with Waddle injury too.... so I’ll take it!

Unless the B1G changes their protocols for Ohio State's benefit again, if they have gotten positives since playing Clemson those dudes aren't playing against us even if the game gets pushed back a week. But let's be real, the B1G would totally amend their rules to allowing for asymptomatic players to actually play in the fricking game if that's what it took. Either that or they'll say that since the CFP is not a B1G sanctioned event that Ohio State gets to make their own rules. I think that's probably more likely as it gives them an easier out.

Ohio St has been dealing with Covid issues for over a month. The players are obviously not following the rules to avoid exposure. Another week isn't going to help them there.
The only reason Ohio St would want to get the game pushed back is that Fields is hurt pretty bad and needs the extra time to heal.

The rumor going around is that OSU tried to delay the game due to a few players getting Covid (probably because they want Fields to be healthy) and the SEC/Sankey actually stepped up and told them to screw off with that nonsense.

Fields said the doctors did not give him a diagnosis during the game. They just gave him a few shots.
