"Insider" on BOL posted last night we have one coach, not Golding or Sark, out with the virus.
All players tested negative.

Any word on if any game time decisions? Everyone else good to go?

Wed. night:

The Truth… NO covid cases for any players. One coach is expected to miss game but not a coordinator as stated on Monday. Saban covered all the injuries.
As for Waddle update he is running but still not practicing. He has a shot an NC game but will see next week.
Coaches and players are taking this game extremely serious. They are all business. As I told you Monday, they leave tomorrow afternoon for Dallas. They will get final covid test results tomorrow. And yes they are staying at same hotel as ND.
A concern is their run game and short passes to TEs and RBs. Their best defense will be keeping the ball away from us. If we get up early it’s over.
Offense has some new stuff but you will see Friday! Too important for clues. The offense wants to go down in history as best of all time...motivate themselves.
Biggest concern is missing Dickerson. When you lose a team captain that is a big deal. Chris Owens has a chance to impress NFL so he is all in as expected. If we can run, it’s over.

Alabama running backs coach Charles Huff didn’t travel with the team...

Yep - standard downs vs passing downs. Their offense can work in standard downs because of these things. Key to the game.

Name recognition. Same reason that tOSU CB Shaun Wade keeps making it. He’s been like their 4th best DB on his own team. But him and Moses were hyped up in the preseason, and play in playoffs teams.

1st team All-American
Right now, Bama has got 6 Consensus AA's; Mac Jones, Najee Harris, DeVonta Smith, Alex Leatherwood, & (to tigger LSU fans) Landon Dickerson. On defense, Patrick Surtain is Consensus AA.
All but Mac Jones has a chance to become Unanimous AA's, just waiting on the last selector, WCFF, to announce.
AFCA 1st team

Bama has 6. You’re forgetting Surtain.
All but Mac will likely earn Unanimous honors. Mac would’ve gotten it if it weren’t for that career award Lawrence got.

At least the AFCA (the coaches) picked Jones.

Interesting ESpN Stat from Army-WVU halftime report:
EsPN said Mac is the sniper of recent QBs on balls thrown over 30 yards in the air (58% completion rate) with 10 TDs and 1 INT from that range of in air passing.
He has outperformed Murray, Tua, and Burrow in the stat category.
He may have best deep ball accuracy in CFB, but the Rant seems split on the question when I asked it there.
Some ack his skill, others are convinced he only throws to wide open WRs. IdK, i disagree that he hasn't racked up a ton of throws in very tight windows, but interesting stat to me nonetheless.
Especially when considering his all time best efficiency rating which is usually commensurate with a dink and dunk offense

Saban mentioned a coach not traveling when asked about covid issues. Perhaps this is what he was referring to.

Because they’re idiots. He has made just as many (if not more) NFL level throws compared to any QB this year.

Not really Bama, it's tOSU related but I figured it's relevant:
Injury analysis by FoxSports' injury analyst for Justin Field's hit
Similar to David Chao on twitter, for anyone that does fantasy football and follows NFL injuries. That's something to monitor over the next few days.
