The defense will get better the more they prepare for ND offensive attack.
I'm sure most weeks the defense isn't that great day 1 preparing for another offense.

If you think Saban doesnt control what kind of defense we run and the game plan, then

We dont have anyone that can run around like the ND qb

I have no idea who it is, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's Bryce Young, it's not like any of them are getting hit.

Kristian Story is another player that could pretty conceivably be in this role.

I imagine we struggled with the tight end stuff, but at the end of the day ND has a methodical offense that doesn't hit a ton of explosive plays. This is pretty cut and dry from a gameplan perspective. To make an NFL comparison, they're the Titans without an elite back. Run the football, play action, throw to the tight end. It's a good offense but it's not one that's built for playing from behind or winning shootouts.

I imagine we'll play a lot of base with 7 or 8 man fronts. The corners will be able to handle their wideouts. The tight ends will make plays but they'll be of the 15-20 yard variety and not the 60-70 yard variety. That's a recipe for a bama win, even if it is frustrating at times.

Can they still do that? I thought the NCAA changed that rule.

Saban on waddle:

Nick Saban said Jaylen Waddle’s rehab is “coming along. He’s doing dry-land running. Still working to try to get back. He is making progress. We’re happy to see him be able at least go out there and do some running and do some things. But he’s not back in practice yet."

Landon Dickerson is one of them

I know he had surgery on the knee, was it ever discussed what the injury was?

His interview impressed me and my post history will let you know I’ve not been a fan. I can understand listening to him explain some of the x and os behind it let’s me know he has the head for the job. I still just worry can he get it to translate to the players.

Chris Owens Twitter bio made me laugh.

"Whatever position you need on the Offensive Line, I play it."

Almost prophetic, hope he has a great game. He has been another committed, team first guy; a well deserved opportunity

No one doubts he knows X's and O's

What he struggles with is play calling. He gets absolutely raped at times, especially in situational downs.

We make 3rd down and long look like 4th and inches at times.
