Just listened. That was probably the most vague and weird statement he’s made to date on our players regarding the virus. “We have enough to play”. Not reassuring.

Yep. The current situation with football is exactly why most colleges are not bringing students back after Thanksgiving.

Not sure it matters, honestly ... even if we'd kept all the players in Tuscaloosa, it doesn't help if other teams can't play due to COVID-19 outbreaks.

As has been said in this and other threads, the contact tracing stuff is the real schedule-killer here.

And thank God they are doing the contract-tracing or we would have even more SEC players and coaches seriously ill or dying of Covid than we have already had.

Saban is being weird today. Last week he said we had 1 positive case, and now this week he won't disclose how many players tested positive and etc. Just said we have enough players for Saturday.

Maybe his sharing a test result was weird.

ON A COVID-19 ROSTER UPDATE...

"Well, we really have never revealed how many guys we’ve had test whatever. It’s not something that we really want to start now. But we’re fully prepared to be able to play the game, and we’re going to coach the players that are out there with us every day and try to keep them safe. That’s basically where we’re at. But we fully intend to be able to play this game, and we certainly have enough players that are healthy and able to do that."

Saban said last week he started to make them stay but didn’t have the heart to make them . You just have to hope for the best really . I agree with his decision btw

Is there any chance CBS televises our game since the original CBS game was cancelled? I’m in Gatlinburg this weekend and not sure the chalet gets the SEC Network yet. Laptop is backup plan.

The state of Tennessee has lost a lot of luster in the SEC but not their collective minds. They have the Network. I was recently in Cherokee in a Cabin on the tippy top of Bootleg Ridge and even they had the Network streaming through Satelite. Push comes to shove there are a ton of sport's bars in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area with the Network and every other game.

I do too. I'm almost certain that the football team is locked down hard while they're on campus to prevent outbreaks in the locker room. These guys haven't had much of a life since they started fall practice. It would have been cruel to make them stay on campus during the bye week.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to see the boys play again... It feels like it's been a year since the MSU game.

Maybe I won't even gripe about Golding...
