I think today's practice is the first practice in full pads

- Not a lot has changed in terms of which players are at the front of each position through the first four days of camp. However, looking at the offensive line, Emil Ekiyor worked at center with the ones Saturday, while the rest of the line still consisted of Alex Leatherwood, Deonte Brown, Landon Dickerson and Evan Neal. I’m not sure yet on what’s up with Chris Owens.
-- Another position battle of interest is outside linebacker, but Christopher Allen and Ben Davis are still holding firm. It is worth noting that Will Anderson and Drew Sanders have been behind those guys in the early goings. Anderson “is a man,” is what I was told this week.
-- DeMarcco Hellams is a younger defensive player that is coming on -- he had a really good practice on Thursday and is one of the young defensive backs that defensive coordinator Pete Golding was referring to when he spoke to local reporters earlier this week. Freshman Brian Branch also continues to make a case for the first-team spot at Star in nickel.
-- It is unclear if tight end Jahleel Billingsley was present for the first three practices, but I was told he was out there today and had a strong day. We haven’t heard much about the tight ends since camp started, so that’s a group I hope to have more information on soon.
-- Today was the final practice of the week. Alabama will be back on the practice field Monday for what will be its first practice in full pads. We’ll hear from Nick Saban after that practice.

Interesting. I thought Dalcourt would get the second crack at Center.

Most people here seemed to agree with you. I was never sure why people had dismissed Eyikor and asked in the recruiting thread if Eyikor was done at center when it was being discussed that Dalcourt was next in line but no one commented on him. I just came to the conclusion most people saw Dalcourt as a better player.

Yea I was in that group thinking dalcourt would be starting this year at center. I also was extremely critical on golding but he is night and day different in his interviews this year. Hopefully we see that change transfer to the football field too. Which is why they get paid the big bucks and I dont

Saban did say at his press conference a min ago that there will be a scrimmage Saturday

All an elaborate scheme to get this pinned at the top of the board I see.
It's too much of a headache to try to change the order so I just said "frick it."

The Big Ten and Pac-12 haven't won a playoff game since the 14 season.

Ben might just might be the guy who stuck around and worked hard. He is shaping up to be that guy.

I hope he goes out and gets himself drafted.

Boz is retired. He already stated he won't be doing that anymore. You can thank AMH21 for that.

Hard to believe Ben came in with Mack Wilson so long ago as the best of the best. For all his perseverance I hope all of us get a long look at Ben this season. I've heard pretty much everything about what's keeping him off the field. From his talent doesn't translate or he just can't pick up the nuances of the defense.
A lot of LBers have no doubt seen the handwriting on the wall by the coaches and have moved on since Ben arrived. But, here Ben is, still sticking it out. Now, I'm just curious as to why. Coach Saban seldom puts up with guys that aren't producing for this long. Or players want to try something else to see if they can get on the field.
For me, I just want to get the answer before he's gone.
