I’m so old, I use to pay for a weekly newsletter that came in the mail each week regarding recruiting and a preview of upcoming games. I don’t remember the service, but it was before I had internet.

Greg McGarity said one of the quickest decisions by the SEC's 14 athletic directors was not to have tickets for visiting fans. He said it was a 14-0 vote.

I'm so old, my first few years of watching Bama football in the 1960s as a kid was either at Legion Field, Neyland Stadium or on our black & white Zenith TV. It was full of vacuum tubes. Transistors hadn't been invented yet. We had a tall outside antenna so we could get the B'ham CBS & NBC stations. Huntville only had 1 station (ABC).

Kirk McNair's BAMA magazine sent a weekly newsletter during the season, along with the monthly magazine. In the late 80s and early 90s Cecil Hurt had a recruiting hotline. It was free but long distance charges applied.

I wonder if this includes players' families...

BTW, did y'all see they're voting to not have this year count against eligibility whether you play a full season or not? If that happens, Slade would graduate in December with 3 years of eligibility left.

How is Slade doing rep wise? I'm hoping he gets involved in the offense more this season.

Slade can get a few graduate degrees.

Tell him that there’s a large bit of the fanbase that want him to hold on field goals. It would open up so many opportunities, other than actual kicks
shite, can Slade kick

Just let him know that there are a lot of fans that want to see him break loose in games.
