Why? Davis couldn't beat out two true freshmen and one of them had never even played the ILB position before. I don't think he even made his way to playing on special teams. Apparently Golding coaching him for the past two years hasn't been helping him develop very much.

Tidal, Ben player olb not in the middle, but he made no impact either way. He played a few plays and had a sack this season. Just don’t understand what happened with him.

Word a while back was that he doesn't like getting hit. In high school he was fine because he was the one doling out the hits and nobody was athletic enough to hit him back. Once he got to campus and everyone was on his level well...he didn't like it. No idea if that was true but it was the explanation I heard.

Remember him being slow. I dont buy the not being hit stuff. I think he just may not be good or he may have been injured. I just wonder what the analyst saw to make him a five star. He even stood out at all star practices if i recall.

Ben was behind Jennings on the depth chart. The thing that will hurt him. Is with the McMillan and Moses coming back we now have four ILB. I wonder if they will move one over.

JACK -- Anfernee Jennings
Ben Davis / King Mwikuta

SAM -- Terrell Lewis
Christopher Allen

MIKE -- Dylan Moses
Shane Lee / Markail Benton

WILL -- Christian Harris
Jaylen Moody / Ale Kaho

I thought Davis had been moved to ILB after McMillon and Moses were both injured. My mistake. I stand corrected. I still dont think he will be in the mix to start. And I also think he probably won't even be on the team with a scholarship after he gets his degree, due to the need to fit within the 85 total counters limit.

Chef made a comment on bol saying he could see Josh McMillan sliding outside and taking over Jennings spot. I can't wait until spring so we can see how we are going to navigate all of the returning experience and the new faces at the lb spots. If we do keep golding and dont get decimated by injuries again, our defense should still be pretty stout

It looks like Jerome Ford is leaving the program.

I think he would be really good at a G5 school.

Weeding out the non-contributors from the shite show which was the last few months of the 2018 class. I wish him well wherever he goes. I mentioned Ford as a possible transfer a few days ago. I could also see Parker, DeLong and maybe Moody moving on.

Depending on how many players Bama signs on signing day, look for somewhere between 9-13 players transfer.

Seeing how DeLong almost visibly wilts when on the field you would think he’s miserable and wanting to get out.

We may need a net reduction (new Feb. signees minus grads & transfers) of up to 14 players: 2020 Projected Roster (vs. 85 total limit)

We should easily be able to shed about 10 guys easily with guys like DeLong, Ford, Ben Davis, Parker, etc. Above that, it gets a little tougher.

I guess we'll be facing a new QB when we play Georgia with Fromm leaving.
Who's the likely option at QB for them?

Likely Newman from WF or Costello from Stanford.
