But he wasn’t the only “insider” to have this same info. Insiders on other sites said the same thing. Sounds like when everyone was still on campus and together they wanted to come back, and then they got home and around families and things changed. Can’t blame Boz, what he gave us was probably true at the time

I see you missed the first chapter of "Fake It Till You Make It: How I Became A Sports Message Board Insider" where we learn that reading something on one board, tweaking some minor details, and bringing it to your home board is pretty much bullshitting 101.

LSU had a year like this several years back where they lost a ton of Jr's that went early

But we're not losing that many? We're losing some and keeping some.

The press conference pretty much confirms Tua is staying. I always assumed there would be a press conference. Why would anyone think he wouldnt have one?
If he was leaving he would have announced via social media like the rest on what looks like a university prepared template.

Believe all the players that have been quiet until now are staying and waiting until after Tua's announcement...hence the dominos.

Moses and Leatherwood announced they were staying on what appeared to be a university prepared template. I'm just not very optimistic. We have become the program you go to if you want to go get coached up for 3 years, get drafted early, and make money. If 80% of our high draft pick potential juniors go pro early it isn't exactly a surprise.

So the best QB in Alabama history is having a press conference to announce his decision. Imagine that. I’m not saying one way or the other but in either case a presser makes perfect sense. His decision is national sports news and there will be questions regardless of what it is.

What I do know is Saban will announce the ones who are going pro and then Tua’s decision will dissected ad nauseum. I HOPE he’s staying. If he’s not, thanks for all you gave to Bama. I understand.

If he leaves, 2020 could very well be a season similar to this one because the schedule is harder and not layed out in a favorable way (THANKS you whiny Auburn bitches). We could be a better team and still lose 2-3. Even if Tua stays we’ve got our work cut out for us. This ain’t Clemson’s schedule.

I'll be honest, I don't understand why anyone would melt either way about Tua.

I agree. If Tua stays: wow, but worries will immidiately arise about whether he can stay healthy, whether Saban coerced him to stay, whether Mac Jones will transfer, whether Tua will be ready for the opener, etc.

If Tua declares, God bless him. Sound decision money wise if he gets drafted early in the 1st round. In that scenario, we know that Mac is capable of winning (big) games for us and we have another special QB waiting in the wings for us in Bryce Young. And nobody will be bitching about Saban being the bad guy and risking Tua's health and career by 'forcing' him to stay.

Either way, Bama will be fine as long as Saban fixes the issues on the defensive coaching staff. Yes, the schedule looks like a killer, but if we can return to Beast Mode on defense we have a lot less to worry about.

Why is there a press conference now? I thought it was just going to be a social media announcement?

Uh, hard disagree. His decision is probably the biggest draft and college active football storyline right now. There was going to be a press conference no matter what.
