Nope. The message is from Dylan Moses. And if with "comeback" he means coming back to play for us next year I'm loving it.

Odd take. While he has obviously been a huge bust from a recruiting ratings standpoint, from all accounts he hasn't been a diva about it.

And you could tell he is well liked by the team by how excited the rest of the guys were when he laid the wood on the Mississippi State QB for his sack.

Talk of staff turnover has died down in the last week or so … I'm guessing due to the early signing date this Wednesday.

Any updates / guesses from our insiders on staff moves? Will Golding be demoted, or go someplace else? Will Schumann or Steele be our new DC? Or will Golding stay on as DC?

I will be surprised if Nick doesn't make some moves on the defensive side of the ball. Perhaps even 3. Nick has always allowed assistants to get their new gigs 1st before making any comments. The early NSD has to be a problem for him getting started in his search but that would be the case for any staff in the SEC. JMO but the DL,DB, and ILB coaches look to be weak links (Karl Scott-DB).

Yeah, I know, but that thread kinda died last week, and no real Alabama news / thoughts had been posted for several days.

Just making sure you're aware of that thread. There might not be much, if any, news on staff changes until Feb.

I thought I read Moses was practicing today and if so is he expected to play in the bowl?

Even if Moses was 100% ready to go unless he plans on entering NFL draft for sure I would see no reason to play and burn a year of eligibility. Unless I’m mistaken you’ve got 4 games to burn a redshirt unless that game is bowl game or playoff game. I may be incorrect but I believe what I’m saying is true.

I think you're mistaken. This is from an article about the rule change in 2018:
quote:

Expect coaches to take the wraps off plenty of young players during bowl season. Teams often have an eye toward the next season when preparing for a bowl game. Add in the recent trend of some established players skipping the postseason to prepare for the NFL draft process, and the ability to tap into the freshman class without regret in the bowl game becomes even more useful.

That would seem to indicate that it's 4 games, regardless of the when or where.

Besides Lewis and Diggs, it appears all of the other healthy players are choosing to play, including Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, DeVonta Smith, Dylan Moses, and more.

This is the article I read and why I was asking because it indicates Moses healthy and choosing to play.
