He’s been playing well, but I’m waiting on him to get a really crucial taunting penalty.
Burton is a lot like Tony Brown up to and including problems with fans who rush the field after the game. The difference is that a defender who chirps comes across as a silverback but a wide receiver who chirps comes across as a dipshit.

Football is such an important part of my life, and I think the biggest reason it means a lot to myself and so many other guys is because of the people we get to share periods of our lives together with.
Aaron and I used to speak alot about going to Alabama, as we were the only two guys from Arizona Western College that were committed to BAMA for the next season. He used to educate me on the level of play in the SEC because of his time at Tennessee before he got to Juco. We left Arizona Western and enrolled at Alabama the same semester, hoping to make the same impact as Juco transfers, which I felt was going well before heading home to Australia for spring break. A few days after being in Australia, I remember my dad getting the call from the University while I was working out, and they said Aaron had passed away. I was extremely disappointed for his family and obviously himself as he was on the tough journey of turning his life around!
We never got to get the full experience of AD at Bama, but I know he would've been stoked with those National Championships and especially never losing to Tennessee while we were there!
I used to rock the AD77 on my wrist tape every Tennessee Game! Third week in October always means something!

Do y’all think that his antics will hurt him in the draft? I mean I have seen a lot of NFL players that are worse than him. But those guys are already in the league. I just don’t want him to hurt us at the wrong time. Which leads me to ask a question about play I saw from another team a couple of weeks ago. Was there not a rule past 7 to 10 years ago that if you excessively celebrate when you score a touchdown the touchdown can be removed? I saw a player score a touchdown, and do a flip in the end zone as he crossed the goal line.

The excessive celebration penalty can't remove a touchdown, because once the ball crosses the plane of the goal line in that situation the play ends. It's a dead-ball foul (unsportsmanlike conduct) assessed on the next play. Someone (Ole Miss?) lost a game a few years back because a wide receiver got flagged for excessive celebration after scoring with no time (or almost no time) left on the clock, and after the 15-yard penalty the place kicker missed the extra point which would have tied the game.
Now, if the referee decides a player began celebrating excessively BEFORE he crosses the goal line, they can assess the penalty from the spot of the foul and wipe out a touchdown. Seems like LSU lost a TD that way several years back when their punter scored on a fake punt but began taunting before he got into the end zone.

No because NFL GMs want us to be animals... animals on leashes but still they rather have a passionate guy with that dog in him then a choir boy they have to question if he has any heart.
You just have fans who hate it because they don't understand it. It's especially confusing when some complain we don't have vocal passionate players then turn around and demonize any player they don't like that shows these characteristics.
We need Burton locked in and passionate. It feeds his team and his teammates. We just need him to hone that ability and not let it get him into mistakes and bad situationsm

I now remember the LSU punter doing that and that’s how touchdowns can be called back. Thanks!
I understand we need passion. I agree. Wish we had some in the form of Rolando!

Again…as long as Burton backs it up I really don’t care. Just don’t get flagged ever again.
I honestly don’t know why he stays so mad, though. That’s how some competitors are I guess.
First reception against Arkansas he immediately turns to the defender and starts chirping. The Arky DB looked like “wtf did I do?”.

Lol come on man he's playing a sport where the person across from him literally wants to take his head off.
You have to have a mean streak and be aggressive. Even a QB needs to have a air about himself and an aggression or we won't believe in him.

You don't know what that DB has said earlier. Trust me DBs talk the most shite on the field so I know he isn't innocent

True - Landon Dickerson can do it and be loved ("he's a passionate leader"), but Burton does it and is despised ("he's a trash-talking thug"). It's sickening.
I don't like trash talking from anyone, especially the type that might provoke a penalty. It's pure selfishness.

Dippre was running routes in the practice footage released today, so it seems like his injury might not be so bad.

One of these guys backed up their trash talk. The other one....not so much.
