Connor Weigman is out for the season. Max Johnson is a good player though.

If he was good then why didn't he say at LSU?

Come on, that doesn't mean anything. Drew Sanders was good and he didn't stay at Bama.

He was good at Alabama and left because he wanted to play. Max left because.... Kid is decent QB but I'm not completely sold on him.

He’s a solid game manager and tough leader. They don’t need him to be a star with how talented their defense is.

Max Johnson is a very good QB in my opinion. LSU fans, in my opinion, didn't like him but the kid put up very solid numbers in the midst of all the upheaval going on at LSU with a new OC and Orgeron getting fired. Honestly, I think Max has a brighter future at QB than Jaden Daniels.

The real reason Max left in my opinion is because his little brother was the #1 TE in the country and he went to A&M. Max threw a TD to his little brother this past game and I read his dad, Brad, ripped off his shirt celebrating Hulk-a-maniac style

Crimson Tide Athletics Announces Alabama Always Licensing Program

Former Alabama student-athletes now have the opportunity to join their NIL with the Crimson Tide brand on merchandise for the rest of their lives

quote:

Former Crimson Tide legends who opt in to the program will have the ability to profit from the use of their name, image and likeness (NIL) on merchandise in conjunction with the Alabama brand, one of the largest in intercollegiate athletics, for their entire lifetime. This campaign will be available to previous members of all 21 varsity athletic programs. Because Alabama Always is being managed exclusively by the University, 100 percent of each individual's generated royalty amount will go directly back to that former student-athlete.

quote:

"As I've said before, our players aren't just my guys for three years, four years or five years," said Alabama Head Football Coach Nick Saban. "They're my guys forever. Alabama Always is a tangible way to show our former student-athletes how much we care about them and want them to feel part of the legacy they helped create at The University of Alabama."

I think that Max Johnson is the type of QB that needed about 3 years to develop to turn into a damn good QB. but he was thrown into the fire immediately iirc.

Addressing reporters on Wednesday ahead of No. 12 Alabama football's matchup with Mississippi State, head coach Nick Saban gave updates on two of Alabama's injured players, linebacker Deontae Lawson and offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson II.

"Both guys were unable to practice today," Saban said. "That would put them at a category of very questionable."

Lawson left last week's Ole Miss game with an ankle injury, and was considered "day-to-day" by Saban earlier in the week. Sophomore Jihaad Campbell replaced Lawson after his injury and played well, being selected as one of the staff's players of the week after the game.

Ferguson received an upgrade in playing time Saturday against the Rebels after starting right guard Darrian Dalcourt suffered an injury in the first half, and later, Ferguson suffered an injury of his own. He exited the game before halftime and did not return.

While Lawson has been one of the leaders of Alabama's defense so far this season, Saban has confidence in depth of the position group.

"We played most of the game this last game with Jihaad [Campbell] playing, and Trezmen [Marshall] playing," Saban said on Monday "That’ll be the way that we go. Obviously the depth at that position is going to become critical for us if Deontae can’t go. And we’ll keep working with these guys and try to get them ready to go this week.”

Kickoff between No. 12 Alabama and Mississippi State is set for 8 p.m. Saturday, and the game will be televised on ESPN.
